Following his interview with Angela Yee, August Alsina is all anyone can talk about. The singer sat down for an intimate interview with The Breakfast Club host where they conversed for an hour about a number of topics. August Alsina became emotional while discussing the passing of his sister, he talked about becoming a parent and raising his sister's children, he opened up about his health struggles and feeling as if he was actually going to die at certain points, and he delivered words of wisdom about his personal growth. However, when he shared that he received Will Smith's "blessing" to engage in a romantic relationship with Jada Pinkett Smith, social media did a triple take.

There have been rumors over the years about August Alsina and Jada Pinkett Smith, with some even stating that his single "Nunya" was about the actress. During his talk with Angela Yee, August revealed that Will and Jada are "life partners" who are no longer romantically involved. He claims that he and Jada were together and in love for years, but after his sister passed away, it was important for him to live his truth so he decided to end things, even though he gave his "full self" to the relationship.

Ari Fletcher Flexes On A Woman Who Called Moneybagg Yo "Papi"

When it comes to her man, Ari Fletcher doesn't play any games. The mother and social media influencer has made headlines over her romances with G Herbo, Gervonta Davis, and now Moneybagg Yo. Her current relationship with the rapper seems to be going strong, and the pair never miss an opportunity to brag about one another on social media—albeit, lowkey.

In a recently surfaced clip that circulated online, Ari and Moneybagg Yo can be seen making their way through a house party, but for a moment, Ari Fletcher loses her cool. The person filming was commenting on how pretty Ari is, and viewers can seen that Moneybagg walks ahead of his girlfriend as another woman passes them both. Ari stops the woman and tells her off.

"No, don't call him 'Papi,'" Ari said to the woman. "I'll beat yo ass." It's unclear how the woman may have responded, but undoubtedly Ari was perturbed about a stranger openly flirting with her boyfriend right in front of her face. The video quickly shuts down after the brief encounter, but it seems that nothing escalated from that moment. Meanwhile, Moneybagg was elsewhere minding his business. 50 Cent Shares Potential Cover Art Concepts For Pop Smoke's Posthumous Album

We're all set to finally receive Pop Smoke's posthumous album on Friday, but we still don't know the revamped cover art. It was revealed that Virgil Abloh was specifically requested to design the album's art by Pop Smoke himself, so his team honored the late rapper's wishes. However, after Shoot For the Stars, Aim For the Moon's artwork was revealed, Pop's fans weren't too thrilled with what they saw.

Steven Victor heard the "lazy" accusation loud and clear and came forward to say that they would, indeed, switch up the cover art to something more satisfactory for his fans. Over on Instagram on Tuesday (June 30), 50 Cent went post crazy as he shared a number of potential looks for the Shoot For the Stars, Aim For the Moon cover. 

It was clear that some weren't going to make the running, but for others, 50 Cent wanted his followers to rate them on a scale from one to 10. In the earlier seasons of Love & Hip Hop New York years ago, Peter was dating longtime girlfriend and mother of his children, Tara Wallace. He carried on the on-again-off-again relationships with both women and went on to have more children by each of them over the years. They're all in a better, happier place, but it seems that Peter still doesn't like to see another man's hands all over his ex.

DaniLiegh was asked whose idea it was for the relationship to be kept a secret, and she said that it was a mutual decision between herself and her ex. She alluded to working with the person, as well, so it just made sense that they kept their relationship under wraps. "It wouldn't have been a smart move, and I'm a lowkey person anyway." DaniLeigh added that she can't be friends with any of her exes, so she doesn't really speak with the person anymore. She admitted that it was "real love" and said she didn't want to say too much about it because people may put two and two together. She said this was a relationship that ended about a year ago.

If they want to one-up North’s previous birthday gifts this year, Kim and Kanye are going to have to get creative. For North’s 5th birthday, the pair bought her an authentic Michael Jackson jacket, worn by the king of pop himself. The aspiring young rapper has also already covered magazines and has been spotted rocking $10k Birkin bags. 

As Kim is treating North on her special day, Ye appears to be hard at work. The legendary rapper just released a music video for “Wash Us in the Blood” ft. Bow Wow Offers $10K To Whoever Can Help Find Motorcycle Thieves

It's infuriating when you find out that something you hold near and dear has been stolen, and that's exactly what Bow Wow faced on Tuesday (June 30). The rapper shared his frustrations over on his Instagram Story after he walked out of his home and made his way to where he parked his motorcycle, only to find out that it was no longer there. Bow Wow stated that when he checked his home's surveillance footage, he saw two tattooed White men taking off with his beloved bike.

"I know y'all didn't know that was my sh*t, now y'all do," Bow Wow said in his video. "It's a problem. Listen, we can do this two ways, alright." He said they can return the bike, no questions asked, but if he needs to track them down, he's going to make it worth the public's while. It seems that Bow Wow is offering $10K to anyone with information about who the two men are and where the rapper can recover his ride.

Fox News commentator Laura Ingraham founded a site called Lifezette, and it was there that a reporter wrote an article accusing Alyssa Milano of Blackface. Netflix Announces Two Part "Ozark" Final Season

Netflix announced earlier today that it will be releasing season four of its popular series Ozark in two parts. This announcement was made with a short teaser clip that pays homage to the show’s opening credits scene. “They're going to go out with a bang. Ozark will be back with an expanded 14-episode final season,” Netflix wrote on twitter.

While this announcement is certainly good news for the series’ fans, the show’s creators also seem to be happy with this decision. “We're so happy Netflix recognized the importance of giving Ozark more time to end the Byrdes' saga right,” said showrunner and executive producer Chris Mandy. “It's been such a great adventure for all of us -- both on screen and off -- so we're thrilled to get the chance to bring it home in the most fulfilling way possible.”

Ice Cube Calls Reporter's Assault Accusation A "F*ckin Lie," Sends Cease & Desist Letter

He may be ruffling a few feathers with his latest stream of social media posts, but Ice Cube is out to defend his name. In an article he penned for The Daily Beast, reporter Marlow Stern accused the rap icon of having his team assault a rabbi. It was back in 2015 when Ice Cube was sued for $2 million over the alleged incident, but since the accusations surfaced, the rapper has always stated that he was innocent of the allegations against him.

"It is hard to give Ice Cube the benefit of the doubt given the fact that his anti-Semitic activities have extended beyond the realm of the internet," Stern wrote in his article. "He’s an ardent supporter of Louis Farrakhan, one of the world’s most prominent anti-Semites, and, most troubling of all, the rapper and actor was accused in May 2015 of ordering his entourage to beat up a rabbi."

Cube took to Twitter to call out Stern. "The statement by Marlow Stern is a f*ckin lie. I never ordered my security to beat up anybody. Get your facts straight or I’ll see you in court you asshole." Then, the rapper shared a photo of the reporter and wrote, "This is Marlow Stern, the punk that’s out there pushing that poison." Ice Cube then shared photos of cease and desist letters to Stern from his lawyers that also included a request for a retraction. "Don’t play with me. This is just phase one." New "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" Movie In The Works With Seth Rogen

From its 1980s comic strips and animated shorts, to its early 2000s film series, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have been a staple of American popular culture, proudly enjoyed by celebrity musicians like Ciara to Just Blaze. Luckily, fans of the crime fighting turtles now have something new to look forward to. Nickelodeon Animation has announced they will work with Point Grey Pictures to develop a new animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. 

The latest Ninja Turtles installment will receive unique comedic flair from Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver, who are aiding with creative decisions. The film will be directed by Jeff Rowe, the co director of Connected, while the film’s script is being written by Neighbors screenwriter Brendan O’Brian.

Ramsey Naito will oversee the new film for Nickelodeon and Josh Fagen will oversee for Point Grey Pictures. The film will be distributed by Paramount Pictures. 

"Adding Seth, Evan and James' genius to the humor and action that’s already an integral part of TMNT is going to make this a next-level reinvention of the property," said Brian Robbins, President of Kids & Family Entertainment at ViacomCBS. "I'm looking forward to see what they do, and I know that Ramsey Naito and her team are excited to take the Nick Animation Studio into another great direction with their first-ever CG-animated theatrical release."

Kelly Rowland Was A "Creep" When She First Met Her Idol Whitney Houston

Even famous people get tongue-tied when they meet their idols. The world lost an incredible voice when Whitney Houston unexpectedly passed away in 2012. She was an influence on many singers that have topped the charts over the last decades, including the ladies of Destiny's Child. On a recent episode of The Mogul Mixtapes, singer Kelly Rowlandshared a funny story of what happened when she met Houston, who she considers to be one of her idols, and the near-disastrous moment she couldn't seem to remember how to speak.

"So, we're coming out of Hotel Nikko in L.A.," the singer said of the five-star celebrity favorite in Beverly Hills. "We're walking out and Bobby [Brown] is coming in and so, at the time Bobby's like, 'Aye! Oh my gosh, it's so nice to meet y'all. Oh my gosh, my wife would love to meet y'all." Of course, Kelly Rowland couldn't believe that she was moments away from meeting her idol.

Bobby told the ladies that Whitney was in the lobby of the hotel. "Like, literally, my whole body... I felt like, 'Oh shoot! We're about to meet'—I didn't say shoot, I said 'sh*t.' We're about to meet Whitney Houston and I haven't even met her yet and I can feel my throat closing up and I'm about to cry."

Kelly gave herself a little internal pep talk before coming face-to-face with one of the most celebrated vocalists of all time. "We see her and it's literally like all this light," the singer recalled. "It's like angels. All of this was happening at one time, it was choirs singing hallelujah." The other girls didn't have a problem speaking with Whitney Houston, but Kelly said she was in such shock, she couldn't hear anything. "I barely remember what she said 'cause I was just staring. "Mythbusters" Star Adam Savage Accused Of Raping His Sister

Miranda Pacchiana, the younger sister of Mythbusters star Adam Savage, alleges Savage frequently raped her while the two were children growing up in Sleepy Hollow, New York. Pacchiana, 51, says the abuse occurred when she was between 7 and 10 years old and Savage was between 9 and 12.

“Beginning in or about 1976 and continuing until approximately 1979, Adam Savage, would repeatedly rape Miranda Pacchiana and force oral sex upon her, and forced Miranda to perform oral sex on him, along with other forms of sexual abuse,” says her lawsuit, filed in Westchester Supreme Court.

The suit, filed under the New York Child Victims Act, which opened a one-year look-back period for victims to bring claims that had already exceeded the statute of limitations, also says that Savage would prevent Pacchiana from leaving the bed and anally rape her.

Savage is best known for starring in Mythbusters, a popular Discovery Channel show. Pacchiana, who now lives in Connecticut, is a social worker who has written about her family’s disavowal of her for making these allegations. 

“When I first disclosed to my family that my brother had abused me as a child, I thought my whole world would change,” she wrote. “I assumed my family members would share my desire to examine what had gone wrong in our home and pursue a path toward healing together. I was sadly mistaken.” 

Meanwhile Savage vehemently denies Pacchiana’s claims, saying he is being “relentlessly and falsely attacked.” "I will fight this groundless and offensive lawsuit and work to put this to rest once and for all,” he declared.

Paris Jackson Says Dad Michael Jackson Teased Her About Liking Girls

The Jackson family is once again receiving the documentary treatment, this time over on Facebook Watch. Michael Jackson's daughter Paris Jackson has her own docuseries titled Unfiltered: Paris Jackson and Gabriel Glenn, and on the premiere episode that aired Tuesday (June 30), the 22-year-old artist opened up about her sexuality. Paris shared that even at a young age, Michael Jackson was aware of his daughter's attraction to girls and would playfully tease her about it.

"[I] thought I'd end up marrying a chick," said Paris. "I've dated more women than men." She added, "The public only knows about three long-term relationships that I've been in and they've been with men. The public doesn't know about most of the relationships I've been in." While she is in a relationship with her male bandmate Gabriel Glenn, Paris doesn't consider herself to be bisexual.

“I say I’m gay ‘cause, yeah, I guess I am, but I don’t – I wouldn’t’ consider myself bisexual because I’ve dated more than just men and women," Paris said. "I’ve dated a man that had a vagina. So, it has nothing to do with what’s in your pants... It’s literally just, like, what are you like as a person.”

Michael seemed accepting of his daughter's sexuality. "My dad caught on pretty quick," she said. "I think he just felt the energy and he would like kind of tease me the same way that he would tease my brothers, like 'Oh, you got yourself a girlfriend.' Or if I'm looking at a magazine and staring at woman too hard like, 'Oh, you like her?' I'm very lucky to have that, especially so young. Kylie Jenner's Cosmetics Empire Sued By Former Partner Over New Coty Deal

It's no secret that Kylie Jenner created a fortune for herself by launching a beauty empire a few years ago, regardless of whether or not the brand made her an official billionaire. However, while big sister Kim Kardashian is reveling in her own beauty empire success today, it looks like Kylie isn't too much in the celebratory mood now that her company is being sued by a former cosmetics partner.

TMZ reports that Seed Beauty, former manufacturer for Kylie Cosmetics, is taking them to court due to a risk that Jenner will possibly leak trade secrets to her new partners at Coty. Seed believes that years of developing exclusive products and makeup formulas for Kylie were key factors that led to her lucrative success, and now that formula is at risk of being illegally shared as she creates new King Kylie products under Coty. As TMZ puts it, "Seed claims Kylie's company refused to sufficiently assure Seed it would not spill their trade secrets," which Coty is expected to "use to boost the conglomerate." Seed is asking a judge to block Kylie and Coty from using the trade secrets, although sources claim the "secret" to success lies solely in the Kardashian/Jenner brand which comes with millions of fans that follow their every move.

There have been many rumors about August Alsina and his relationship with Jada Pinkett Smith. In a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, Budden called Alsina "corny" for how he publicly handled that situation, and in the singer's interview with Angela Yee released today (June 30), Alsina speaks candidly about his alleged romance with Jada.

"I actually sat down with Will and had a conversation due to the transformation in their marriage to life partnership that they've spoken on several times and it not involving romanticism," August said. "He gave me his blessing and I told him and I totally gave myself to that relationship for years of my life. And I truly and really, really deeply loved and have a ton of love for her. I devoted myself to it. I gave my full self to it. So much so to the point that I can die right now and be okay with knowing that I truly gave myself to somebody. I really loved a person. I experienced that. I know what that feels like and some people never get that in this lifetime."

August Alsina also said that he doesn't care what people think, but he doesn't want his character being called into question. "Contrary to what people may believe, I'm not a troublemaker," he said. "I don't like drama. Drama actually makes me nauseous. And I also don't think that it's ever important for people to know what I do, who I sleep with, who I date." Vybz Kartel Responds To Rumors He's Recording Music In Prison

People have called for Vybz Kartel's freedom for years ever since he was sentenced to a life sentence for the murder of Clive "Lizard" Williams. Though his conviction was upheld, he recently caught a small victory in court after declared that he'd be eligible for parole in 32 years and 6 months, knocking off two and a half years.

He'll be making his appeal to the UK's Privy which he spoke about in a recent interview with Billboard. "I would like to say re the Privy Council that I am going to be out soon. Law and statute are what the council deals in, not corruption. The appeal hearing in Jamaica, just like the trial, was a joke, a kangaroo court, a circus," he explained.

Though he also addressed his reign as the king of dancehall, even when he's locked up, he did address one question that many have been asking: how has he been recording new music? Unfortunately, his response more or less just fueled the speculation.

"Many people say YES! VYBZ IS RECORDING IN PRISON!! But where's the proof? But this is Jamaica where you don't need proof to imprison someone. For the record, I'm not authorized to answer such 'above pay grade' questions so I'll say, 'a tree fell in the forest and no one was there to hear it'," he said.

Virgil Abloh Accused Of Ripping Off Pop Smoke's Scrapped Album Art

Virgil Abloh has been under fire over the past few weeks, ever since he shared his initial reaction to the riots in Los Angeles. He seemingly found a way to use the protests as a way to prove his point about "streetwear" but he didn't. Instead, he received backlash for his comments, forcing him to apologize and then get clowned for the $50 bail fund donation receipt he posted on his IG story.

But weeks after that, the cover art for Pop Smoke's posthumous debut album, cover art, was unveiled. Unfortunately, Virgil's touch did not appeal to Pop Smoke fans who spent the entirety of Monday evening roasting him. It got to the point where Steven Victor, Pop Smoke's manager, made the call to scrap the cover art completely due to the overwhelming amount of negative reactions.

"This album cover was one of like 5 things we talked about. He mentioned his story felt like the metaphor of a rose & thorns growing from the concrete of his hood of Canarsie, Brooklyn," Virgil explained of the artwork.

Shortly after, creative director and conceptual artist Ryder Ripps took to Instagram where he accused Virgil of biting the concept for the cover art from him. Unfortunately, Ryder said that this is not the first time.

"This man took the entire chrome rose concept from me, ruined it with careless graphic design and then wrote some bullshit about it,” he wrote. “So sad that someone would care this little about art, design and the memory of a human who was so loved to wrap his name up in lies and theft. If you're a fan of a particular celebrity, it'd be nice if you were able to not mistake them for someone else in public. In the past year, Lizzo has seen her star rise to new heights. The pop star has taken over airwaves, signed sponsorship deals, toured the world, and even won multiple Grammys. She can't go anywhere without people asking for photos and autographs, and apparently, neither can Tokyo Vanity.

Lousiana rapper Tokyo Vanity is known for her stints on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, but it seems that in her spare time she could double for Lizzo. "The Caucasian people on the plane think I’m Lizzo when they meet Lizzo fr they gonna think she their cousin cause I’m making a great 1st impression for sis," Tokyo Vanity tweeted.

After dropping the track a little over two months ago, Lil Tecca gives his new single "Out Of Love" the official treatment with a music video that's equally as endearing as the song itself.

Filled with a handful of digitized floating red hearts that would even make Cupid himself a bit jealous, the video for "Out Of Love" sees Tecca spreading the affection for both his bros and the fly ladies running around his neighborhood. The song's subject matter falls under the platonic love one might have for their fans in addition to the passion a young emcee at the top of his game might also have to finally find a special lady to settle down with. Granted, we doubt the "Ransom" rapper is looking for anything serious since he hasn't even turned 18 yet, but who's to say the young homie isn't trying to lock one down while he's still young. Big Boy asked Ludacris to name three of the rapper's own songs that he considers to be favorites. "Obviously, currently 'Move B*tch' is gonna be one of the favorites because they using this in protests right now," Luda said. "Something I would have never imagined in a million years. It's one thing to be embedded in pop culture but movement culture, protest culture? That's a whole different thing."

He also added that Big Boy's favorite Ludacris song is also one of his own, as well. "Throw them bows, 'Southern Hospitality,' is definitely on the top three Ludacris list," the rapper added. "And then, man, this is such a hard decision but, it's not even my song, but I have to say 'Yeah.' Me, Usher, and Lil Jon, just because as soon as I heard that song, I instantly knew what it was going to do and how much of a hit it was. So, that's two and a half Ludacris songs."

Joe Budden Calls August Alsina "Corny" Over "Red Table Talk" Gossip

A bit of commentary Joe Budden had about August Alsina on his recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast wasn't received well by the singer's fans. Joe Budden is known to cause some controversy over remarks he makes on his shows, and his most recent jokes and observations about August Alsina rubbed a few people the wrong way. First, Budden made it clear that he is a fan of August and then "joked" that Jada Pinkett Smith's Red Table Talk was birthed because of the singer's public conversation with the actress.

According to Budden, August Alsina was "misleading people to think that it might have been something with him and... That was corny, I didn't like that," the host said. As far as The Product III: State of Emergency is concerned, Budden said he only purchased a handful of songs from the 27-track record that he liked and wouldn't buy the entire record. "This is not Chris Brown where I'm just going to buy your forty songs. I'm not doing that." He admitted he'd purchased nine tracks.

A fan tweeted August and told him that Budden called him "messy," but Budden wanted to clear things up. "I’m seeing that i may be in some August smoke over my commentary… not sure how cuz all I’ve been playing since Friday is August sh*t, but y’all have fun, i know the game lol," Budden wrote. Pop Smoke's Posthumous Album Gets New Artwork Following Backlash

People weren't feeling the album cover for Pop Smoke's posthumous release. 50 Cent has been teasing this project for months, and fans have been awaiting the record that will show what the slain rapper was working on at the time of his death. Pop Smoke was callously murdered in what's been said to be a home invasion in Los Angeles earlier this year, and since that time, his team has been working diligently to create a project that the late rapper would be proud of. On Monday (June 29), the cover art for Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon was revealed, and it was created by Virgil Abloh.

Fans were quick to take to social media, sharing that they weren't thrilled about the artwork. The complaints came in droves, so Steven Victor announced on his Instagram page that they would be changing the art ahead of the record's Friday (July 3) release. "As pop's label & as his friends/family, it is our obligation to bring his vision to life  he wanted virgil to lead creative,  we fulfilled his wishes  however, unfortunately, he's not here to give his final approval  his fans, are."

Steven continued, "You know why you love pop  your voices are loud and clear  he loved his fans and listened to his fans  pop and we at victor victor h e a r d you l o u d and clear - changes will be made see you July 3rd 2020." Barstool Sports' Dave Portnoy Says He’s "Uncancellable" After Racist Videos Resurface

Dave Portnoy, the founder of the satirical, and sometimes controversial, sports and pop culture blog Barstool Sports, is refusing to be ‘canceled’ after clips of him using racist language including the N-word resurfaced on Twitter. 

The videos, which were comedy skits for the Barstool platform, were first resurfaced by the Resist Programming Twitter account Sunday. The videos were later amplified after a tweet by The Atlantic staff writer Jemele Hill went viral in which she quoted the video, adding “This is terrible, but then again, consider the source.” One of the resurfaced videos, a 2016 segment about ex 49ers player Colin Kaepernick, depicts Portnoy comparing the athlete to Bin Laden, saying, “He looks like a Bin Laden. That’s not racist.” Another clip shows Portnoy singing along to Ja Rule’s “Livin’ It Up” and using the N-word. You can watch Portnoy’s racist sports segments yourself below.  

The 43-year-old blogger responded to the resurfaced clips Sunday night in a multi-tweet rant directing his grievances at Hill first, writing, “What’s terrible is altering and cutting up a comedy sites video and giving no other context.”

He then tweeted, “Memo to the cancel cops. I knew this was coming before you did. And I’m ready. You don’t cancel me.  I cancel you.” While not taking any accountability for his actions, the Barstool founder also attached a video to the tweet where he echoed the same sentiments.  “They’ve been trying to cancel me for two decades — I’m uncancellable,” Portnoy says in the video. “I’m big. You’re little. I cancel you.”

Portnoy previously was in a public feud with “Call Her Daddy” co-host Sofia Franklyn while they were attempting to renegotiate the podcast contract.

Master P Drops Trailer For "No Limit Chronicles" Docuseries Airing On BET

One month from today, rap fans will learn more about one of the culture's most beloved record labels. Some may recognize Master P from his stint on reality television, for his numerous business ventures, or because of his many charitable efforts. However, Master P is known as the head honcho of No Limit Records, an ionic label that was founded 29 years ago. There were dozens of artists signed to No Limit including Mystikal, C-Murder, Soulja Slim, Silkk the Shocker, and Snoop Dogg. Master P has partnered with BET to create the No Limit Chronicles docuseries about the development of No Limit Records, and he dropped off a trailer earlier today (June 29).

Jadakiss Revealed He Penned Diddy's Lyrics During "Verzuz" With Fabolous

The culture won tonight after Fabolous and Jadakiss had a memorable Verzuz battle over on Instagram. The live-streaming music event continues, this week steering things back toward rap. Verzuz launched as a way for artists and fans to not only pass quarantine time but to celebrate icons and legends in the music industry. We've watched a number of noteworthy "battles" in recent months, spanning from rap to hip hop to R&B to neo-Soul to New Jack Swing, and on Monday (June 29), we saw Fabolous and Jadakiss go round for round.

As always, hundreds of thousands of fans tuned in to watch the live battle between two New York rap legends, and while the music had people grooving, Jadakiss was a whole mood. Fitted in a bright yellow ensemble, Jadakiss had the time of his life spending time with his longtime friend Fab and taking a walk down memory lane with all of their hits. He dropped off a few facts, including that he penned Diddy's verse on "Victory," a 1998 track that features Biggie and Busta Rhymes. As the Bad Boy mogul later rapped, "Don't worry if I write rhymes, I write checks."

Colin Kaepernick Receiving Netflix Series Produced By Ava DuVernay

After securing a deal to direct and co-produce an upcoming Nipsey Hussle documentary for Netflix back in February, Ava DuVernay has once again inked a deal with the streaming giant. This time, the filmmaker will be teaming up with ex-San Francisco 49ers QB to produce a limited scripted series about the activist’s formative years. 

Colin in Black & White will be a six-part series and will provide a closer look at Kaepernick’s adolescent life, focusing on his time in high school and the experiences that pushed him towards activism. Michael Starburry, who worked together with DuVernay on Netflix’s critically acclaimed When They See Us, will write the scripted drama, while Kaepernick will be the series’ narrator. 

DuVernay will serve as executive producer of the project along with Kaepernick and Starburry. In a press release announcing the project, DuVernay expressed her excitement to work on the documentary. "With his act of protest, Colin Kaepernick ignited a national conversation about race and justice with far-reaching consequences for football, culture and for him, personally,” said the filmmaker. “Colin’s story has much to say about identity, sports, and the enduring spirit of protest and resilience. I couldn’t be happier than to tell this story with the team at Netflix.” 

Kaepernick expressed his gratitude to be working with DuVernay on the project, emphasizing the necessity of having Black stories told by Black people. “Too often we see race and Black stories portrayed through a white lens,” explained Kaepernick. “We seek to give new perspective to the differing realities that Black people face. We explore the racial conflicts I faced as an adopted Black man in a white community, during my high school years. It’s an honor to bring these stories to life in collaboration with Ava for the world to see.”

Netflix’s VP of Original Content Cindy Holland added, “We’re proud to bring Colin’s experience and his creative vision to life as he joins Ava to share his powerful story and message with all our members around the world,” she continued, “It is an unparalleled union of two strong and defining voices coming together to tell the story about what it’s like to be Black in America.”

Writing for the project was finished in May and is slated to begin filming in the fall. DuVernay’s ability to accurately direct Black stories has received attention from many including Nipsey Hussle’s estate, who handpicked her to direct the upcoming documentary on the late rapper due to her work on 13th and When They See Us.

Freddie Gibbs Snaps At Akademiks After Blogger Calls Him "Irrelevant"

He knows how to stir the pot, and that's exactly what DJ Akademiks did on his virtual episode of Everyday Struggle. Recently, Freddie Gibbs spoke with Bootleg Kev about his former label boss, Jeezy. The rapper was once signed to Jeezy's CTE, and during their conversation, Gibbs spoke about the relevancy of Jeezy in the current hip hop culture. “Jeezy is musically irrelevant. Let’s be real. Did you listen to his last album? No you f*cking didn’t. He’s a legend but right now, you’re irrelevant.” Gibbs added, “I love him, but what you want to fight? You can’t fight me [or] out rap me. Any n*gga that can’t out rap me or beat me up, I don’t give a f*ck about.”

Gibbs's comments were controversial, causing Akademiks to weigh in with his opinion. "If Jeezy is irrelevant, Freddie Gibbs, you are absolutely irrelevant as well," Akademiks said. "His co-hosts disagreed. "If Jeezy drop a album right now, he's selling 50,000 [units]." It seems that Akademiks was drawing his conclusion from the sales of Alfredo, Gibbs and Alchemist's latest collaboration which sold 30,000 the first week.

"Relevancy means is your music actually doing anything, and to be honest, other than the few people who f*ck with Freddie Gibbs, what relevancy does he have?" The Everyday Struggle host did his best at responding to Gibbs, telling him to pull up his tax returns to prove how much he makes.

"Boy shut the f*ck up. U pay for sex," Gibbs replied. "My son’s room bigger than yo house b*tch stop it." After another response from Akademiks, Gibbs made one thing clear. "Again shut the f*ck up n*gga I’m not Vic Mensa," he tweeted, referring to the tense moment Akademiks shared with Mensa during an interview. Rob Kardashian Reveals Substantial Weight Loss In Social Media Return

Khloe Kardashian turned 36 years old over the weekend and celebrated with a family-only birthday bash. Kardashian’s younger brother Rob Kardashian made a rare public appearance at the event and showed off his impressive weight loss and happier demeanor on Instagram. 

In a rare public outing, the 33-year-old shared a picture of himself smiling wide alongside Khloe’s ex Tristan Thompson and a friend, simply captioning the photo, “Woo back baby.” The Arthur George Socks founder also shared a shot with older sister Kourtney echoing the same excitement in the caption. The reality star’s comments were instantly flooded with positive comments, with many applauding his noticeably thinner physique. 

The youngest Kardashian sibling has kept out of the public eye following his controversial split from Blac Chyna in 2016. The reality star stopped sharing pictures of himself on social media altogether and rarely appeared on the family’s show Keeping Up With the Kardashians. 

Mom Kris also shared some adorable shots of Rob and the family at the event including a shot of Rob smiling wide with the birthday girl Khloe and younger sisters Kendall and Kylie. 

Kardashian’s Instagram is run by Kris and her communications team and he does not have any involvement with the account, as explicitly stated in the page’s bio. He was banned from the platform in 2017 for posting revenge porn of ex Blac Chyna. The two share a daughter together, three-year-old Dream Kardashian, and are currently involved in an ongoing custody battle.

Royce Da 5'9" Uses Nelly's "Country Grammar" As An Example Of Perseverance

Two days ago, Nelly celebrated the 20-year anniversary for his debut album Country Grammar. The classic record is a hip hop favorite and has earned the St. Louis icon a Diamond certification from the RIAA, but when he was shopping his demo that included many of the tracks, not everyone fell in love with Nelly's sound. It took some time for the rapper to ink his deal with Universal Records, and it ended up being profitable, launching Nelly's career into the stratosphere. Fellow rapper Royce Da 5'9" used Nelly as an example after sharing a screenshot of a tweet about Country Grammar's success.

"Imagine your value being based on what 'They' think," Royce Da 5'9" wrote.  He offered up some advice for hopefuls, whether it be those looking to launch music careers or people who have goals set in any industry. "They don’t mind showing up to the party late, either because this isn’t the 'Integrity Game' .. So, Take it easy. Don’t take things so personal. Have some fun. Create some memories. Robb Bank$ Re-Releases "Calendars" To Streaming Services

Robb Bank$ marches to the beat of his own drum, whether people like it or not. The rapper has continued to release music at a consistent rate. Earlier this year, he blessed fans with No Rooftops 2, and just a few weeks ago, he dished the track, "Black And Proud (Say it Loud)." Now, he's returned with the re-release of his project Calendars. Some of his day one fans have been begging for this project and he made sure his fans received it. The project was initially released as a free mixtape with 12 tracks in 2012. The re-release includes the intro "Holiday" as well as "Big Pimpin." Matt Meyer Lansky appears on four tracks while Young Neil assists on "Wiz Khalifa."

Shaq Teams Up With Papa Johns For Massive “Shaq-A-Roni” Pizza

NBA legend Shaquille O’Neille launched a collaboration with Papa John’s Pizza that features their largest slices ever.

O’Neille, who is also a Papa John’s board member and franchise owner, came up with the idea for the Shaq-A-Roni: a 16-inch extra-large pizza topped with 66 pepperoni and extra cheese, cut into eight massive slices.

“It was important to me for the Shaq-a-Roni to be bigger than just pizza," said O'Neal in a press release. "By giving my new pie a try, one dollar will be donated to The Papa John’s Foundation for Building Community to support COVID-19 relief, the fight against racial injustice, Boys & Girls Club of America, UNCF (United Negro College Fund) and general community involvement."

Papa John’s created a special 3-D surprise for everyone who purchases the Shaq-A-Roni. Customers gain access to an exclusive Snapchat AR experience by pointing their phones at the box when the pizza arrives.

“We’re excited to combine all the best ingredients for coming together in support of our neighbors - a Shaq-sized pizza, topped with extra ingredients, with a donation from every purchase going back into our communities," said Rob Lynch, President and CEO of Papa John’s.

The Shaq-A-Roni pizza is available now at participating Papa John's locations nationwide until August 23.

At midnight, it looks like Moneybagg Yo will be releasing a new single titled "Said Sum." The rapper shared the cover art for the single and has been retweeting fans' responses while dropping off what seems to be lyrics to the upcoming track. "I thought a hoe dat be speaking on me but be f*ckn a broke n*gga said sum," Moneybagg wrote in one tweet. In another he penned, "I thought a n*gga who watch wat I do but can’t get his b*tch back said sum."
