Friday (May 1) is a celebratory day for JoJo. Not only has the R&B singer shared her anticipated album Good To Know, but it's her first release in four years. After a difficult legal battle with her former record label, the 29-year-old singer was given the green light to move forward with her career with ease. Since that time, she's inked a deal with Warner Records and has been working on how to express all of her trials and triumphs in a project that both she and her fans would be proud of.
When speaking about Good To Know, JoJo shares that the album is broken up into three chapters. "The first being: here's what I do to numb myself. Get me out of my skin and let me be distracted with love, sex, substances," she said. "The middle part finds me realizing that I need to be on my own for the first time in my life to end patterns that aren't serving me anymore. Toward the end, I knock on the door of self-love.
