Man Lights Spliff During Court Hearing For Possession Of Cannabis Charge

 The legalization of cannabis is officially underway but there's still a long way to go. Unlike Canada, America hasn't federally legalized the plant. However, many states have begun to legalize the plant for recreational use but Tennesse doesn't appear to be one of them. That being said, one man went to drastic efforts in an attempt to prove why cannabis should be legal.

A man by the name of Spencer Boston made a concerted effort to advocate for the legalization of cannabis inside of a courtroom recently. According to ABC News, Boston was in front of a judge on Monday when he reached inside of his jacket for a doobie and lit it up while the court was in session. Boston was facing the charge for simple weed possession when he began to advocate for cannabis. The man took two hits off of the spliff before the bailiff grabbed him and escorted him out of the place.

“The people deserve better!” He declared as he was being escorted out. His actions were met with mixed reactions but most people in the court reportedly just laughed it off. 

Boston was later charged with disorderly conduct and simple possession of cannabis, as well as being held in contempt of court. He'll be spending 10 days in jail for contempt before being eligible to post bond which is set at $3K.

Luke James Debuts "to feel love/d" Sophomore Album

Luke James has returned to share his sophomore album in the form of his highly-anticipated to feel love/d effort.

Clocking in at nine tracks, the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter recruits appearances from additional names such as Big K.R.I.T., Ro James, samoht, Kirk Franklin, and BJ The Chicago Kid. It's a formidable entry from the crooner whose ties in soul and R&B stretch further than wax as the hyphenate is well-known for flexing his chops in musical settings onscreen.

Owen Wilson Officially Joins "Loki" On Disney Plus

With the Marvel Cinematic Universe continuing to dominate the big screen, it's only a matter of time before that dominance carries over to the small screen. This year, the journey is set to begin with both Wandavision and The Falcon & The Winter Soldier. Yet the one that has the masses in a fervent state is Loki, starring Tom Hiddleston in the titular role, set to land in 2021. Centered around the Trickster God's hilarious misadventures throughout history's benchmark events, the original series is destined to become a fan favorite. Variety reports that Owen Wilson has officially joined the cast, albeit in an undisclosed role. It's unclear whether he will be playing a comedic role, or more importantly, firing off a slew of childlike wows. Either way, it has officially piqued our interest. As of now, Disney is remaining tight-lipped about Wilson's involvement, or any details surrounding the Loki series for that matter, but there's still plenty of time before Loki saunters into our lives again.

French Montana Denies Being Punched By 50 Cent

French Montana is throwing a flag on the play.

According to the rapper, rumors of a physical altercation that took place between him and 50 Cent are not true. The idea spurred from a clip that popped up this weekend. While it never actually showed any evidence of a fight between the two men, it reportedly captured the aftermath of the alleged run-in at Miami's E11even club, following an evening hosted by Fif and Snoop Dogg.

"Tell people the real story. I went to the club you was hosting. You heard I was coming, you walked out the back. You was in the car," French revealed in a new clip. "...I wish he would touch me."

He went on to showcase his visage to prove that there are no marks on his face before elaborating in the caption of his video, accusing 50 of paying for his recent star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Sony Pulls The Plug On PlayStation Vue Streaming Service

Just a few months shy of its five-year anniversary, Playstation Vue has officially been disconnected by Sony due to simply not being able to keep up with the competition. 

When Sony took a minute just before ringing in 2020 to pay homage to the products that brought the company success over the past 25 years under the Playstation imprint (seen above), noticeably missing was anything to represent the PS Vue television streaming service. Now we see why, as Sony was silently phasing it out completely. According to reports, Vue had to go up against a bevy of competitors, including Google's popular YouTube TV, the live TV service provided by Hulu and the most successful of them all: Dish Network's Sling. To put things in perspective, while the latter boasted somewhere in the range of 2.4 million subscribers, PlayStation Vue maintained roughly 800,000 subscribers according to CNN. Another reason states that people still just prefer good ol' traditional television, adding an interesting stat from research firm eMarketer that states 86.5 million U.S. households paid for TV last year compared to the 9.1 million hooked into internet live stream services.
