Matthew Stafford Told Lions Not To Trade Him To Patriots: Report

Matthew Stafford, who will be traded to the Rams, reportedly told the Lions that they could  "send him anywhere but New England," according to NBC Sports Boston's Tom E. Curran.

Curran says "a source whose team was heavily involved in Stafford trade negotiations but failed to land him" informed him of Stafford's stance on being sent to New England.

Stafford ended up being sent to Los Angeles in exchange for Jared Goff, two first-round picks, and a third-round pick. Both Stafford and the Lions have been open about their desire to mutually part ways following the end of the 2020 regular season.

"It's pretty hot and heavy right now," head coach Dan Campbell recently told Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. "We've got quite a few offers and so it looks like we've got some trade partners, we're just trying to work out the best scenario and see what's best for us, ultimately."

Stafford passed for 26 touchdowns, 10 interceptions, and 4,084 yards last year. Pats' quarterback Cam Newton, on the other hand, threw for just eight touchdowns, 10 interceptions, and 2657 yards, in addition to 12 rushing touchdowns.

The Patriots finished the 2020 season 7-9 and in third place in the AFC East.

Papoose Drops Surprise New Album, "January"

Legendary rapper Papoose has returned with a new surprise album, January, which is available on streaming services now.

The project comes just months after his last effort, Endangered Species, which dropped during the tail-end of 2020. The aptly named January features work from Wiz Khalifa, Brady Watt, Statik Selektah, and more.

Papoose recently revealed that he plans on retiring at the end of 2021, during an interview with the HollywoodLife Podcast:  “After this year, I’m not rapping no more. So, I just want to make sure I make it special. I’m done. I’m done,” he revealed. “I’ve grown in life. I’m in a different space in my life now. So many people who wanted to see me be successful in music, they’re not even here anymore.”

Papoose says he plans to release a new project every month of his final year.

Tom Cruise's Obsessive Behavior Is Making "Mission: Impossible" "A Nightmare": Report

Filming on Mission: Impossible 7 has reportedly become "a nightmare" due to Tom Cruise's obsessive behavior, the UK’s Sun reports.

“A lot of us would love to cut our losses and leave things for a while, then pick up when we can,” one insider told the outlet. “But Tom is completely obsessed with finishing and nothing will stop him.

“He’s the most determined person. It’s impressive, but a nightmare.”

Production for Mission: Impossible 7 began way back in 2019, but since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the film has been hit with several delays. A number of crew members also quit working the movie following Cruise's rant back in December regarding coronavirus safety protocols.

The insider continued: “This is starting to feel like a real nightmare of a production — and of course, a lot of that is totally unavoidable. But the hope was that after the pre-Christmas rows and delays, filming out in the UAE would give the crew more freedom to make headway without holdups. It feels like everything is against us at the moment and morale is really down."

Mission: Impossible 7 is currently scheduled to hit theaters in November of 2021, assuming there are no further delays.

Wizards Score 8 Points In Final 8 Seconds To Upset Nets

The Washington Wizards upset the Brooklyn Nets 149-146, Sunday night, despite trailing by five points with just eight seconds left in the game.

The comeback started with a three by Bradley Beal, which was followed by a steal by Garrison Mathews and then a game-winning three by Russell Westbrook. The win ends a four-game winning streak by the Nets.

The loss is emblematic of major defensive issues from a Nets team that has struggled to keep teams from scoring. They're currently allowing 116.2 points per game from opponents.

While the Wizards went on to win the game, Bradley Beal was seen visibly frustrated throughout the night. The Wizards allowed 71 points in the first half.

Beal, who has been the subject of trade rumors in recent weeks, responded, "Is the sky blue?" when asked if he was frustrated with the Wizards season, earlier this week.

"It's tough," Beal continued. "I am not going to sit here and be naive. ... We want to win, and I want to win. This is why I stayed. I want to win. I figured this is the place I can get it done. It's tough. Last year was what it was. We had a lot of guys out. John [Wall] was out. It was just a rotten year. COVID hit."

Bad Bunny Performs "Booker T" During Royal Rumble 2021: Watch

Bad Bunny performed his single "Booker T," at the WWE Royal Rumble, Sunday night, fulfilling what he called "a childhood dream."

"Booker T" is inspired by the WWE legend of the same name, who was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013. Booker appeared on stage with Bunny during the performance. Booker capped off the track with his iconic catchphrase, “Can you dig it, sucka?” The track's music video also stars the WWE legend.

“Performing at the Royal Rumble is a childhood dream come true,” Bad Bunny said in a statement provided to Billboard, earlier this week. “I have been a lifelong fan of WWE and I am excited to take the stage and entertain fans around the world.”

"Booker T" was included in Bunny's recent album El Último Tour Del Mundo.

Rey Mysterio Reveals His Mount Rushmore Of Wrestlers Ahead Of Royal Rumble

WWE legend Rey Mysterio recently named his all-time Mount Rushmore of wrestlers and put a major focus on the people who have inspired his career. He also added a fifth wrestler who is a must-have.

"My uncle was a big inspiration to me. What he was doing during his time I thought was incredible," Mysterio told Forbes' Alfred Konuwa. "Negro Casas has been a huge inspiration to me, Tiger Mask has been another huge inspiration and Tiger Mask cannot go alone, he has to go alongside Dynamite Kid. I think those right there just inspired me throughout the whole way. Of course, you could never do your top five and not put Eddie Guerrero in there."

Guerrero was a big rival of Mysterio's throughout his career until his tragic death in 2005. Guerrero died as a result of acute heart failure due to underlying atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease while at a hotel in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Mysterio also recently spoke with Complex ahead of Royal Rumble 2021, and discussed the impact WWE has had on hip-hop:

I could be mistaken, but I think Ric Flair opened up that channel for us. You know, he was talking about the bling, that jet flying, the limousines. Most hip-hop rap lyrics relate to a certain lifestyle, you know, to what you like to represent, how tough your life was and how good you're living now. So with that connection, I think that definitely it just became very mainstream. A lot of rappers over the years who grew up watching wrestling as well, you know, have thrown bars in there where they talk about their favorite wrestlers. Still to this day, even with the new generation Lil Uzi [Vert] throws in that Rey Mysterio shout out, which, you know, is that connection. It is definitely like superheroes and wrestling.

Two Lead Attorneys Depart From Donald Trump's Legal Team As Impeachment Approaches

Two of the lead attorneys for former President Donald Trump's legal defense for his upcoming impeachment trial have left the team, two weeks before the trial is set to begin.

Butch Bowers and Deborah Barbiert both parted ways with the legal team in what CNN reports to be a mutual decision. Josh Howard, Johnny Gasser, and Greg Harrisanother, lawyers who recently joined on, are also departing.

CNN reports that the decision was made because a disagreement stemmed over strategy. Trump would prefer to focus on the election being stolen from him, while the recently departed attorneys planned to question the legality of convicting a president who has already left office.

"The Democrats' efforts to impeach a president who has already left office is totally unconstitutional and so bad for our country. In fact, 45 Senators have already voted that it is unconstitutional. We have done much work, but have not made a final decision on our legal team, which will be made shortly," former Trump campaign adviser Jason Miller told CNN.

Trump has announced that David Schoen and Bruce Castor will lead his defense team going forward.

The impeachment trial is will begin on Feb. 9.

Klay Thompson On Missing A 2nd Straight Season: "It Kills Me Every Day"

Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson, who is missing a second straight season due to injury, says it "kills" him every day not to be out there with his teammates. Thompson suffered a season-ending right Achilles tear while working out on Nov. 18.

"I'm living good," Thompson said during the Warriors' game against the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night. Thompson spoke with NBC Bay Area during the broadcast.

He continued: "To be back in the building that I'm so eagerly awaiting to play in. Just a little bored at times. Stuff's slow with trying to let my Achilles heal and get to the next stage, which is mobility work, but I'm feeling good. I'm happy to be with my teammates, obviously.

"Unfortunately, I'm not playing. It kills me every day, but I plan on playing for a long time, and I don't want to have any mishaps come this rehab."

Thompson suffered a tear in the ACL in his left knee during Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals. He subsequently missed the entirety of the 2019-20 NBA season.

The 30-year-old guard is considered one of the best long-range shooters of all-time. During his career, he's been selected to five-time NBA All-Star teams and been named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team.

Obasi Jackson Raps About Pop Smoke's Death On New Freestyle

Obasi Jackson, brother of the late New York rapper, Pop Smoke, dropped a new freestyle on his Instagram giving his own spin on Staten Island rapper CJ's hit single, "Whoopty."

The freestyle sees Jackson rapping about the death of his brother; "Why they put you in a coffin?" he asks on the track. CJ recently said that "Whoopty" was originally inspired by Pop Smoke: “We had lost Pop [Smoke], may he rest in peace, and I felt that we were missing that energy, that New York bop, that New York swag," he told HipHopDX. "You know what I’m saying? We was missing that whole lane.”

The Game declared that he is the best rapper from Compton, during a Clubhouse chat with Crooked I and Glasses Malone, Saturday night. Game even boasted that he's better than Kendrick Lamar.

Megan Thee Stallion Explains Why Mileena Is Her Favorite Mortal Kombat Character

Megan Thee Stallion has long been a fan of gaming and anime, as made evident by her cosplays and frequent anime references. In “Girls In The Hood”, Meg references Naruto, rapping, “Pussy like a Wild Fox, looking for a Sasuke.”

For the August 2019 digital cover of Paper Magazine, Meg got fully in character for a cosplay of Todoroki from My Hero Academia. In November 2020, she teamed up with Mortal Kombat 11 to cosplay as one of her personal favorite characters from the game series, Mileena. 

Megan spoke to UPROXX about why Mileena is her favorite character, saying, "You already know Mileena’s on some Real Hot Girl Sh*t! I have always loved Mileena because she presents as this really sexy, dominating character who has such allure, but underneath the mask and mystery, she’s also this super terrifying mutant. I like that when she takes her mask off in Mortal Kombat 11, she can eat all the characters… basically, she is a man-eater."

Being the busy woman she is, it’s surprising that Megan has time to watch anime or play video games between balancing school, home life, and writing music. She says that it’s all about priorities, explaining, “I find time to make it all happen because school is important to me and my grandmother and it was important to my mother.”

Meg also adds that gaming is a great way for her to escape the stressors of her daily life. “Gaming is an opportunity for me to escape. My mind is always working on what’s next… the next photoshoot, the next concert, the next music video, so for me, gaming is a way for me to relax and decompress.”

Double K Of People Under The Stairs Dies At 43

It is with great sadness to report that a West Coast legend has passed away. Double K of People Under The Stairs reportedly passed away this morning at the age of 43. At this point, there haven't been any reports revealing what the cause of death may have been. 

Born Michael Turner, Double K, alongside his partner Thes One, formed the underground duo People Under The Stairs in 1997 before releasing their debut album just one year later. Between 1998 to their disbandment in 2019, they released upwards of nine albums together, along with several compilations, EPs, and mixtapes. Despite being labeled as an underground group, they achieved much commercial success over the years, influencing a generation of rappers that came after them. 

Peers, friends, and fans of Double K took to social media to pay tribute to the late rapper. "Not Double K. What a dope persona and artist," Psalm One tweeted. "One of my first big national tours PUTS was gracious enough to take me out. Double K was a fucking west coast pioneer. This is tough. Prayers up for K, his family, and Thes. REST IN POWER DOUBLE K."

"Damn.... RIP Double K," RJ tweeted. "Never knew the PUTS guys personally, but it felt like there was a concurrent thing happening on the west coast to the Jux/Fondle em/RSE thing, and they were in the middle of it. Condolences to Thes One."

Shaq Blasts The Patriots For Doing Tom Brady Dirty

Tom Brady is about to play in his 10th Super Bowl next Sunday and if you know anything about sports, then you know just how incredible of an accomplishment that is. So far, Brady is 6-3 in his career when it comes to the Super Bowl although next Sunday could be his toughest task yet as he will be taking on Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Brady is still eliciting a ton of praise heading into the Super Bowl, specifically from Shaq who recently spoke to TMZ Sports about the magnitude of what Brady is accomplishing. As he explained, the Patriots completely did him dirty and now, Brady is having the final laugh.

"The way he came in ... this is his 10th Super Bowl and [to] play with a franchise and then the franchise kinda [says], 'Oh, you're old, bye!' and he said 'Okay, you don't wanna take care of me, after all, I did for this city? Watch this! [Then he] goes to another a city, promises them a Super Bowl and delivers. Woo," Shaq exclaimed.

It remains to be seen whether or not Brady will be able to win that seventh championship although if there is one thing for certain, it's that his legacy simply cannot be questioned.

With "American Mood," JoJo speaks directly to those out there struggling through some sort of personal crisis. As she sings lines like "We got so much growing up to do," it's both heartfelt and very much heard. She isn't even afraid to call out her own privilege, understanding that being a white woman in America right now comes with responsibility and a sense of understanding that, yes, now's the time to open your eyes to what's going on in the world. The message can be a tough one, but thankfully JoJo is the messenger and can deliver it with a beautiful serenade to assist. 

Hopefully this means more new music by the former 2000s teen sensation. Since her highly-publicized split with former label Blackground Records, also former home of late R&B icon Aaliyah, JoJo has been taking some time with her music projects and slowly reclaiming her space in the R&B world. It's a great sight to see, and we hope she keeps pushing forward with quality music that showcases just how amazing her voice actually is and has always been. Respect!

Draymond Green Rips Rodney McGruder For Being A Fake Tough Guy

Draymond Green has always been a massive trash-talker throughout his career and when a player he deems inferior decides to speak up, well, you can be sure he is going to go on some kind of massive rant about it. On Saturday night, that is exactly what happened as Rodney McGruder of the Detroit Pistons became his target.

The Warriors had just defeated the Pistons in a blowout and after the game, McGruder approached the Warriors bench with some words. It seemed like McGruder wanted to fight and Green was having none of that. In the post-game press conference, Green ripped McGruder, as did his teammate Klay Thompson.

"When the f— did Rodney McGruder become the tough guy of the team," Green said before calling McGruder a fake tough guy. Before this, Thompson went in on McGruder saying "This dude might be out the league soon. He’s probably mad about that.”

The Warriors have always feasted on their weaker opponents and this was certainly yet another example of that. When you win three NBA championships in the span of a decade, you can typically afford to talk like this, and the Dubs have taken full advantage.

As for McGruder, we're sure last night wasn't very fun as he became the punchline on social media.

Wendy Williams Reveals She Had An Abortion After Eric B. Split

Despite how open Wendy Williams typically is about her love life and her opinions, there's more to her story that we know. Now, in 2019, we found out that she had a relationship with Eric B. of Eric B. & Rakim fame, though we didn't necessarily know the depth of their relationship. 

Last night, Wendy Williams: The Movie made its debut on Lifetime, leaving many people floored by many of the revelations made in the film. One of the major bombshells was the many details of her relationship with Eric B. Apparently, the famed producer used Wendy's credit card to rent vehicles and later ruined her credit altogether. However, that wasn't even the biggest confession in the film. Wendy revealed that Eric B. actually got her pregnant and she later had to get an abortion. 

"Our relationship, I mean if you could call it that, didn't even last a year... When it was all over, my credit was ruined — and I was growing his seed," she said, according to People. "I went alone and I went in secret... I didn't tell him or anyone else. It was one of the loneliest experiences of my life."

Lil Durk & Pooh Shiesty Prove They Can't Miss On "Should've Ducked"

There aren't many rappers whose deluxe editions of their albums hold as much anticipation as the original, especially these days. Lil Durk, however, is always one to go against the grain, delivering The Voice (Deluxe) on Friday to much praise. The project includes an additional 12 tracks with a few solid collaborations from Lil Baby, Sydny August, and Pooh Shiesty. After the success of their collaboration, "Back In Blood," Durk and Shiesty teamed up for a menacing new record for The Voice (Deluxe). The pair deliver another blistering drill banger on "Should've Ducked" detailing the ins-and-outs of street politics. "We don't party on other blocks/They fuck with other opps," Durk raps on the hook. 

Durk and Shiesty are forming a solid bond over wax and we're certainly here for more collaborations.

Steph Curry & Klay Thompson Roast Draymond Green In Hilarious Interview

For years now, the Golden State Warriors have been one of the scariest teams in the NBA. Of course, this isn't because they are a particularly gritty team that plays aggressively. Instead, it is because they have Steph Curry and Klay Thompson who can score at will, and are two of the best three-pointer shooters of all-time. Unfortunately for the Warriors, Thompson is not in the lineup right now due to an Achilles injury, although that doesn't mean he isn't having fun with his teammates.

After a big win against the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night, Thompson conducted a hilarious interview with Curry, in which they both made fun of Draymond Green for a bit. Green threw an errant pass that smacked Curry in the face, and Thompson had to bring it up, which led to Curry noting that Spalding is now engraved in his face.

From there, Curry and Thompson discussed when the former would be breaking the record for most three-pointers ever made. Based on the math that was done, it seems like Curry might have to wait 2 or 3 seasons before he can accomplish the feat, although considering just how efficient he is, it shouldn't be too much of a wait.

It's clear these two have all the chemistry in the world and we can't wait to see them back on the court together.

Travis Scott Gets Expert Snowboarding Tips From Shaun White

Travis Scott has been working on a brand new album called UTOPIA although in between his studio sessions, he has been hitting up the slopes to try out his new hobby, snowboarding. Just a couple of weekends ago, Travis showed off his new skills as he could be found weaving from left to right while going down a steep hill. Fans were impressed with how good he is in just a short amount of time, and he just so happened to attract the attention of legendary snowboarder Shaun White.

Recently, both Scott and White hit the slopes for a joint session in which White gave Travis some pointers. In the clip below, Travis tried to pull off a rail, and he made it in his first shot, which led to a big celebration as he was content with his progress. Overall, it seems like White believes Travis has some potential.

"So pumped to take Travis and his crew riding. He only started a month ago and is already hitting the park !! Thanks for the epic day man, I've been a long time fan," White wrote.

With the winter months marching on, we're surely going to see a lot more of Travis on the slopes and by March, it seems like his skillset will be very promising.

Thankfully for Trump, he didn't run out of options. Ja Rule came to save the day. By now, you've probably heard of Ja Rule's new app Iconn. The app is designed as a celebrity booking app so naturally, it would make sense for Trump to have a page. However, even for Ja Rule's, there are limitations. On a recent appearance on TMZ, Ja Rule explained that he wouldn't ban Trump from joining the platform, though he would have to take action if DJT tried to weaponize Iconn to stir up his fanbase. "Anybody can go on any platform they want but I suppose if he started doing crazy things like riling up his base and, you know, get the Proud Boys going on Iconn, yeah, then he got to go," he explained.

Ultimately, Ja Rule agreed with Jack Dorsey's message of discretion towards banning Trump, though it seems Ja is willing to take the risk.

DJ Khaled's Son Flexes Extremely Rare Air Jordan 3s

DJ Khaled is one of the most prominent sneakerheads in the music industry as he has one of the most impressive collections you can possibly imagine. For the most part, Khaled is big into Air Jordans, as he even has a deal with them. Just a couple of years ago, Khaled got his very own Air Jordan 3 called the "Father Of Asahd." This model contains a blue leather upper with some hints of red, and even elephant print on the toe box and back heel.

This is an incredibly rare colorway as it was for friends and family only. It never actually released to the general public and now, prices are in the thousands. However, as one can imagine, Khaled's son Asahd has a pair and he recently wore them to class, which led to a hilarious video from the famous producer.

In the clip above, Khaled can be seen pulling Asahd out of class and filming his feet, all while marveling at just how rare the shoes are. It's fairly obvious here that Asahd doesn't understand the full scope of how rare these are, although he is definitely the freshest kid in the entire class.

As Asahd gets older, we can just imagine how expansive his collection is going to get. Needless to say, we're just a tiny bit jealous.

Fredo has been steadily keeping fans on their toes for the release of new music. It's been roughly 2 years since he dropped Third Avenue which received international praise and cemented the UK drill rapper as a new face for this generation. Money Can't Buy Happiness, his sophomore album, offers a more mature, ambitious direction.

Though he holds down the majority of the tracklist on his own, Fredo does have a few stars from aboard help out on the project. Summer Walker slides through on track number 4, "Ready," which pays homage to The Fugees classic record, "Ready Or Not." Walker delivers a revamped take on the classic hook while Fredo handles the verses with cutting descriptions of the trap.

Marcus Smart To Undergo MRI After Scary Calf Injury

Boston Celtics point guard Marcus Smart injured his leg during the team's 96-95 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, Saturday night. While it is currently being classified as a calf strain, fans are nervously awaiting MRI results tomorrow after watching the frightening injury live.

"Marcus Smart has a calf strain. We'll know more tomorrow when he gets an MRI," head coach Brad Stevens said after the game.

Smart went down without contact while under the basket waiting for a rebound during the fourth quarter. He had to be helped to the locker room.

"Yeah, everybody was concerned with his health," Celtics star Jaylen Brown said.

He continued: "Marcus is essential to our team man, he's been great. Whether the numbers show it or not, Marcus has been a leader on this team, he's been somebody that has been looking to get guys the ball in the right spots, including me. So to have him go down in the middle of the game like that, definitely had everybody concerned.

Smart is averaging career highs in both points and assists with 13.2 points and 6.0 assists per game. He's played a key role in Kemba Walker and Jayson Tatum's absence throughout the start of the season.

Madlib Says Kendrick Lamar Wanted Him To Work On "To Pimp A Butterfly"

Legendary producer Madlib says he nearly helped Kendrick Lamar with his iconic album, To Pimp a Butterfly, but Lamar was unable to get in contact with him.

Madlib recalled the missed opportunity in an interview with Guardian promoting his new album, Sound Ancestors, explaining that he simply missed the phone call and that he's not an easy man to get a hold of.

“Back then I was more elusive than I am now,” he told the outlet. “I was busy on my own thing. Missed opportunities, man.”

He went on to admit that it “probably wouldn’t have worked out anyway,” because he’s “like a sore thumb.”

Before Madlib was so difficult to reach, he collaborated with the late MF DOOM for their legendary album, Madvilliany. Madlib recently revealed that he learned of DOOM's passing at the same time as everyone else

“I found out when everybody else did, on social media. His family's very private, so they probably didn’t know how to approach that one. I still can’t believe that he died. That’s weird," he admitted to NPR Music's Piotr Orlov.

Madlib also commented on the current state of rap, saying that more music needs to sound like Public Enemy.

Lions Trade Matthew Stafford To Rams For Jared Goff & Draft Picks: Report

The Detroit Lions have traded Matthew Stafford to the Los Angeles Rams for Jared Goff, two first-round picks, and a third-round pick. Stafford's departure was a mutual decision between himself and the organization.

"The #Lions had more than 6 offers, including a few worth more than a 1st round pick," according to NFL Network's Ian Rappaport. "But Detroit taking on #Rams QB Jared Goff cost LA more. So it ends up as two future 1st rounders and more thanks to Goff’s contract."

NFL Network first reported that Stafford and the Lions would be moving on from each other on Jan. 23. In the time since the team has been open about their plan to trade the former first-round pick.

"It's pretty hot and heavy right now," head coach Dan Campbell recently told Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. "We've got quite a few offers and so it looks like we've got some trade partners, we're just trying to work out the best scenario and see what's best for us, ultimately."

Stafford passed for 26 touchdowns, 10 interceptions, and 4,084 yards last year, while Goff threw for 3952 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions.

The trade is the first big move from the Lions' new general manager, Brad Holmes.

Justin Timberlake Teases New Album, Says He Hopes To Work With Kendrick Lamar

Justin Timberlake hinted that he will be returning with new music soon while speaking with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, Friday night.

"Can we say? Is there a possibility that there's going to be a new Justin Timberlake album in the works?" Fallon asked pop star.

"Yeah, we can say that," replied Timberlake. "There is a possibility. Let's go with yes. I've been in and out of the studio working on stuff. I played you a few tunes." 

Timberlake went on to say that he hopes to one day work with Kendrick Lamar or Travis Scott and joked about letting Fallon on a track. His last album, Man of the Woods, was released in 2018.

The singer's appearance with Fallon was to promote his upcoming film, Palmer. Justin plays "an ex-high school football star, gets a scholarship to a big school, gets injured, gets addicted to pain killers,"  according to director Fisher Stevens.

"We have to have open eyes, and open ears, and open hearts," Timberlake recently told NPR while discussing the film. "I don't feel like I have an authority to tell people what to think or feel, but I guess I hope that the theme of acceptance comes shining through in this movie."

Palmer was released on Apple TV+ on January 29th, 2021.

James Harden Says Nets Are "Catching A Rhythm" After Team Ties Franchise Record For Points

James Harden says the Brooklyn Nets are "catching a rhythm," following a massive 22-point blowout against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Friday, during which they scored 147 points. The high scoring night tied the franchise record for points scored.

"We're catching a rhythm, obviously, offensively," Harden said after the game. "But defensively as well. We're learning our strengths and our weakness and things we can get better at."

Harden finished the game with a triple-double, recording 25 points, 11 assists, and 10 rebounds.

"We're getting there. ... We're slowly inching forward on both ends of the floor," head coach Steve Nash said. "We struggled defensively at times, but we're getting more solid with our game plan defensively. Offensively, you're starting to see a little more flow. You're seeing James [Harden] able to manage the game like that and manipulate the defense."

To sure up the defensive side of the floor, the Nets are reportedly engaged in trade talks with the Cleveland Cavaliers to acquire JaVale McGee.

Despite a rough start, the Nets are now 6-2 since making the trade for Harden.

Current NBA Champion Anthony Davis recently admitted that the Nets could prove to be a threat for the Lakers, describing them as a team that as "a team that can score at will."

Joe Biden Continues To Push $1,400 Stimulus Checks, Despite GOP Opposition

President Joe Biden is continuing to push for $1,400 stimulus checks, despite opposition from the GOP and criticism from voters who expected to receive $2,000 checks.

"$600 is simply not enough when you have to choose between paying your rent and putting food on the table. That’s why my American Rescue Plan finishes the job of getting $2,000 to folks who need it most," Biden tweeted, Saturday.

Facing opposition from Republicans in the Senate, Democrats will likely have to take advantage of reconciliation to force through a stimulus package. The move would require just 51 votes but go against Biden's strategy of seeking bipartisan unity.

The DNC tweeted out the plan to move forward with stimulus checks, Saturday: "@POTUS will build on the $600 down payment provided by Congress last year, sending an additional $1,400 to households across America, totaling direct payments to $2,000 per person."

The check will likely be means-tested as Biden has said he is willing to compromise on income thresholds for the stimulus package. "There's legitimate reason for people to say: 'Do you have the lines drawn the exact right way? Should it go to anybody making over X number of dollars or why?' I'm open to negotiate those things," he said at a press conference, earlier this week.

Negotiations on the next stimulus package could begin as soon as Monday.

J.J. Watt Seeking "Clarity" On Future With Texans: Report

Defensive end J.J. Watt's time with the Houston Texans could be coming to an end as he enters the final year of his contract with the team during a period of turnover for the organization.

"The Houston Texans know that J.J. Watt deserves clarity on his future," NFL Network Insider Rapoport said Saturday on Good Morning Football: Weekend. "This is something he wants, this is something the organization wants. And from what I understand, this is coming. The team knows it has a decision to make on J.J. Watt and it sounds like Watt is wondering what this decision is. Is he going to be in Houston next year? A very open question."

The three-time Defensive Player of the Year was drafted by the Texans in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He is regarded as one of the best defensive ends of all-time and was the first player in NFL history to record two 20+ sack seasons in a career.

New York Mets owner Steve Cohen is taking a "break" from Twitter, after receiving hate on the platform from fans for his association with Melvin Capital Management, the hedge fund that has become infamous for shorting GameStop stock.

Cohen deactivated his account Friday night. 

Redditors, primarily on the subreddit WallStreetBets, have been pumping GameStop's stock in response to hedge funds like Melvin Capital that have shorted it immensely. 50 Cent first reacted to the news, earlier this week, by sharing an unflattering photo of Williams. "The fuck kinda weed made you do that blood LOL. OH NO WHAT THE FUCK GOING ON," he captioned the picture.

"If i was you @methodmanofficial i would not remember that sh*t either. LOL never b*tch i don’t remember," he added in another post.

50 Cent and Williams have maintained a public beef for years.

22Gz Fires More Shots At CJ On "Goofy/Back On Blood"

A beef is brewing in New York City. It all began with a Pitchfork article that called the Staten Island rapper CJ a knockoff of 22Gz. A screenshot was posted to 22Gz Instagram page where he compared the Staten Island rapper to none other than Tekashi 6ix9ine. "CJ giving me 69 vibes & boy from staten island the safest borough in nyc," he wrote.

CJ has seemingly been brushing off the feud to celebrate the success of "BOP" but 22Gz isn't done. The rapper returned with a brand new track this morning titled, "Goofy/Back In Blood." The double whammy kicks off with 22Gz taking direct aim at CJ over the "Whoopty" instrumental before transitioning into Pooh Shiesty's "Back In Blood" to finish the job and give Kodak Black a rightful welcome home message.

Interestingly enough, this is actually the second time 22Gz has gone over this instrumental. Back in 2019, the rapper released a remix to "Exposin Me."

Floyd Mayweather Vs. Logan Paul Fight Delayed

Logan Paul might be 0-1 in his boxing career but that didn't stop him from securing a fight against the likes of Floyd Mayweather. In fact, Paul was supposed to fight Mayweather on February 20th, in an exhibition fight that was certainly going to break the internet, for better or for worse. Now, however, it doesn't seem like the fight will be happening anytime soon, as it has officially been delayed.

While speaking to TMZ, a representative close to Floyd noted that COVID-19 has made it difficult to hold the fight next month and that for now, they will have to regroup and find another date that works for both sides.

T.I. and Tiny have adamantly denied any and all accusations of misconduct, trafficking, and abuse, but that hasn't stopped Sabrina Peterson in her quest. The music couple recently issued a joint statement categorically denying the claims, and later, T.I. shared a video where he once again rejected the accusations against him. Sabrina decided to issue yet another response, but this time, it came in the form of sharing photos of herself allegedly receiving a lie detector test.

Juicy J Wants To Produce Records For Flo Milli & Morray: "Reach Out"

There have been plenty of conversations in Rap and Hip Hop circles about veterans being out of touch with the rising, chart-topping artists of younger generations. "Old Heads" are often spoken about as being critical, but Juicy J has managed to evolve with the culture, not fight against it, resulting in longevity. The Grammy Award-winning rapper-producer recently caught up with Genius for their Co-Sign series, and on it, Juicy J reacted to rap hits from several rising artists.

"I never say a song is a hit until it becomes a hit," said J. "It's a lot of records that have got nominated and won Grammys that probably wasn't really hits. I don't call a song a hit until I hear it in the club, people talking about it. I'm like, 'Okay, that's a hit.'" After breaking down the difference between a "good song" and a "hit," Juicy J jumped right into analyzing the three artists' tracks.

First, Mario Judah's controversial "Die Very Young" single was played and J said that "festivals are gonna love that joint." He added, "I like it, and Imma tell you why I like it: it's different. I feel like different sh*t works." Next was Flo Milli, and it was clear that Juicy J approved of her bars.

"I love this female wave that's going on right now," he said. "She sounded good. I f*ck with her lyrics. I need to produce a record for her. Tell her to reach out." He felt the same way about Morray, praising the rapper's flow and saying that his "voice reminds me of a Luther Vandross voice." On Friday (January 29), Yaya is back once again with another brief update about her little one, and it seems that Junior is getting laced with expensive jewelry. "My baby already got his first Rolex on the way," she wrote on her Instagram Story with laughing emojis. She didn't detail the fit of the new piece, but we can only imagine how spoiled young Junior is about to be. Meanwhile, YoungBoy is not only celebrating the birth of his son with Yaya, but he also became a father during the Thanksgiving holiday when another woman, Drea Symone, gave birth to his daughter.

J. Prince Addresses Rumor That Harry-O Co-Founded Rap-A-Lot: "That's A Lie"

They've been set free from charges, but that hasn't stopped the conversation about Lil Wayne and Kodak Black's pardons. Charlamagne Tha God has already stated that he doesn't blame Weezy for posing for a photo with Donald Trump during the 2020 election season, and recently, Boosie Badazz added that he believed Wayne was playing chess with Trump while everyone thought it was just checkers.

Kodak has celebrated his release by getting his lawyer's name tattooed on the side of his hand, and both he and Wayne have publicly thanked the former president for their pardons. Discussions remain about whether or not partnering with Trump was the best idea, but it sounds as if Rap-A-Lot Records icon J. Prince agrees that people have to do what they have to do to stay out of prison.

Prince sat down with The Breakfast Club and was asked to share his thoughts about the pardons. “I’m happy for both of those brothers,” said Prince. “I’m a full-blown fan for homies getting out of the pigpen. I’m not mad about that. I think more presidents need to do things like that.” He also spoke about Michael "Harry-O" Harris, co-founder of Death Row Records, who received a pardon after serving decades behind bars on attempted murder charges.

There have been rumors that Harry-O was involved with Rap-A-Lot, and Charlamagne asked if the Death Row icon was a founder of his label, as well. "Never," answered Prince. "That lie need to be cleaned up. Harry-O never had no business whatsoever where Rap-A-Lot was concerned. The only thing we ever done in the music industry together was he took the Geto Boys on tour with a couple dates in L.A. and Oakland with The Fat Boys and Salt-N-Pepa back in the day. And then, that was in 1989 or '90."

When speaking about how the rumor of Harry-O's involvement with Rap-A-Lot began, Prince said, "From what I understand it came out his mouth." He added that he heard from their mutual friend that it was told to him by Harry-O that he owned the Geto Boys way back when. "That caused me a lot of problems when a man makes that statement, a lie like that."

"It caused me problems with the DEA, the IRS back in the day because they attacked me based on statements being made that way," Prince continued. "Of course, there was nothing there to find. I'd like to clear that up more so than me, I hope someday he will clear it up because I think it'd be better for his resumé."

YBN Almighty Jay Apologizes For Saying "F*ck Tooka" While Playing GTA Online

Mentioning Tooka's name has been a sensitive topic for many rappers, and weeks ago, YBN Almighty Jay found himself on the receiving end of backlash. The rapper was reportedly playing Grand Theft Auto online when he said, "Ay, it’s Jay Da Youngin. F*ck Tooka, let me get in there." Quicky, Chief Keef responded by telling him, “I don’t even know why you saying shorty name, that sh*t old.”

Shondale Gregory, also known as Tooka, was reportedly a 15-year-old Gangster Disciple affiliate when he was killed at a Chicago bus stop in 2011. Since that time, his name has been laced in rap lyrics by many Chicago artists, but it can be a sensitive subject for those who knew and loved the late teen. YBN Almighty Jay has had discussions about his mention behind the scenes and felt it was necessary to address the controversy on video.

"Basically, I just want to take it upon myself to apologize to anybody who I offended with the video game sh*t that came out when I end up speaking on Tooka in a video game," said Jay. "My people know, I spoke to some of Tooka people, and people that close to them. We all got a understanding. They know that that sh*t ain't 'bout nothin'."

"My people is cool with his people, like, some of my folks," the rapper added. "So, they know that sh*t not about nothin'. As far as that situation went, it's the sh*t on the game. That's how they be role-playing in GTA and it's based off Chicago type sh*t. So, that's how that end up being said, but they know that ain't nothin' about nothin'."

YBN Almighty Jay said he felt it was necessary to publicly apologize since his snafu went viral and was "portrayed to the public that I was dissin' him, or something like that."
