Future & Lil Uzi Vert Are Dropping A Collab Tape Tomorrow

In 2017, the collaborative album was starting to feel like a new normal -- though some might not have described that as a net positive, given the inconsistent quality that tended to arise. It got so bad that even high-profile efforts were met with lukewarm reviews. Before long, the game was quietly suggesting that the collab tape take a backseat, a request that was more or less honored throughout the following years. Now, however, the unofficial embargo has been lifted -- lo and behold, Future was among the first to jump into the mix.

While it was initially rumored that Future and Lil Uzi Vert were teaming up for a new single, it would appear that the two rappers have decided to deliver a full project. Even after both parties delivered a collective three albums in this year alone -- two for Lil Uzi, one for Future -- it would appear they've still got gas left in the tank for another go-around.

Of course, collaborative albums seldom find both artists delivering their A-game, but rather two friends having fun in the booth. Though it doesn't always lead to a timeless project, it can serve as a temporary rush of musical dopamine -- and given that we're looking at Future and Lil Uzi Vert here, it's likely we'll get a banger or two out of it. And sometimes, that's all you need. Are you looking forward to the untitled drop from Uzi and Future?

Mulatto Taps Gucci Mane For "Muwop" Where She Puts A Twist On His Classic

Her career has continued to climb since her 2016 appearance on The Rap Game. Then, a teenage Mulatto wanted her chance at stardom and proved that she was better than her fellow contestants. Although she ended up taking the crown, she opted to not sign with So So Def and moved on as an independent artist. Since that time, Mulatto has built her brand and her fan base on her own, releasing numerous singles that lead us to her latest: a collaboration with Gucci Mane.

The now-21-year-old recently teased her Gucci collab "Muwop," a track that flips Gucci's 2006 classic "Freaky Gurl." She keeps true to Guwop's original throughout the chorus and Gucci comes with a verse near the end of the song. You'll have to wait a few more hours for their poolside music video to officially drop, but in the meantime, stream "Muwop" by Mulatto and Gucci Mane and let us know your thoughts.

Quotable Lyrics

So when you see me n*gga don't speak (Shh)
Put 'em straight to sleep
I don't sell p*ssy but this ain't cheap (On God)
Abracadabra, got rappers and trappers
Yeah I got some tricks up my sleeve (Woo)

Kehlani To Remove Tory Lanez's Verse From "Can I" Single On Deluxe Album Release

While on the red carpet of Rihanna's Diamond Ball last year, Variety was pegging Megan The Stallion with questions about her forthcoming project, Suga. The Houston rapper didn't want to give up too much information about her collaborations, but she did admit that she was working with Kehlani and declared, "I love her." The track ended up being Meg's "Hit My Phone" and the "Savage" spitter returned the favor, appearing on Kehlani's "Real Hot Girl Skit." The two reportedly have a close bond, so it isn't surprising that when it comes to her collaboration with Tory Lanez, Kehlani is making some moves to distance herself from the controversial artist.

Recently, fans noted that Kehlani stopped following Tory Lanez on Instagram following his shooting incident involving Megan Thee Stallion. Details about what led up to Megan being shot in both of her feet remain a mystery, and while Tory was arrested, he reportedly hasn't been named as a suspect.

On Wednesday (July 29), Kehlani shared on Twitter that the music video for her single "Can I" from her recently released It Was Good Until It Wasn't drops tomorrow—a single that includes a feature from Tory. Fans wanted to know about his inclusion on the track, so Kehlani decided to address the obvious with her supporters.

"Full transparency cuz i believe in that with my following, his verse is still on the song, the video is solo. new verse on the deluxe," she tweeted. "The album came out months ago i can’t remove it , doesn’t work like that. can only move forward."

Dascha Polanco Denies Shading The Black Community Over Latinx Emmy Tweets

Orange is the New Black star Dascha Polanco found herself in hot water on Wednesday (July 29). There were many people celebrating following the announcement of the Emmy nominations, but the Latinx community wasn't as happy as everyone else. They didn't see themselves represented as much as they'd like, sparking a discussion that spilled over into social media.

Actor John Leguizamo tweeted, "Why can't we Latinx have a piece of the pie? We are the largest ethnic group in America and missing as if we didn't exist!" Dascha added to his tweet and wrote, "If Its only us speaking up on it, no one cares. It's the silence from those that fight for equality but only their equality. Diversity but Diverse enough to include thyself That mentality of 'As long as I'm good; I don't see a **** thing.'"

The public, specifically Black people, didn't appreciate Dascha's tweets. They believed she was saying that the reason there is a lack of Latinx people represented is that Black people and the Black Lives Matter movement has failed to support other cultures. After being criticized on social media, Dascha Polanco returned with a video to explain her previous thoughts.

"It was not shading our Black community. Blackness is in my DNA as a Dominican, as an Afro-Latina, as a whole," Dascha said. "What I'm referring to is, we cannot sit here and say we are snubbed and write these articles and all these kinds of things when we ourselves are not doing our due diligence to create the work, to create the opportunities. We can't claim diversity but when you're good, then everything else is okay."

She added that "diversity" is also about pay gaps, positions, and "equality across the board." Check out her explanation below along with a few more tweets where she further attempts to clarify her original thoughts..

Tinashe Chats About The Types Of Women She's Attracted To

She's not one to speak much about her romantic life, but Tinashe is sharing what she looks for in a woman. Years ago, the singer said that she is attracted to men and women, but she didn't feel the need to place a distinctive label on her sexuality. When it comes to her dating life, Tinashe holds her cards close to the chest, but in a recent interview with Angela Yee and her Lip Service co-hosts, Tinashe was grilled about the type of women that she finds attractive.

Tinashe found it difficult to say what her "type" actually is. "It's interesting, um, I... The ones that I... I can't say," Tinashe stated. She added that when it comes to men, she has a type, but with women, she isn't as specific. "I mean, I've dated a more masculine girl but I've never dated a super masculine girl. And I've never dated a super femme girl, either."

"[I like] to be in relationships with people that can play both sides," the singer added about being the dominant person in a relationship. "Like, I like to take charge definitely, sometimes," but she also wants someone who can step up to the plate. Take a look at the clip below and watch Tinashe speak about her ladies who grab her attention.
