JoJo Delivers "Trying Not To Think About It" EP

She's an R&B veteran whose vocals have been entertaining fans since the 2000s and JoJo is back with even more music to add to her growing catalog. The singer has endured quite a few struggles since stepping into the music scene as a teen, and she has preserved through the battles with her weight, addictions, and the rises and falls that come with the industry.

Now that her earlier releases have been added to DSPs following Blackground Records reviving itself, JoJo is setting forth this new stage of her music career. On Friday (October 1), she shared trying not to think about it, her 12-track R&B offering that she has been teasing for some time. JoJo flies solo on the record as she has opted to skip hosting features and she successfully carries the weight throughout.

This is one that blends the sounds of R&B jams of yesteryear with an updated approach, so stream trying not to think about it and share your thoughts.

Kali Uchis & SZA Heat Things Up In Steamy Visual To "Fue Mejor (Remix)"

There have been quite a few releases from SZA in 2021, albeit a few have come courtesy of movie soundtracks. Fans continue to await news about her sophomore effort, but SZA has not shared when, or if, that album will arrive. We've heard of some grumblings with her label, thanks to the singer sharing information on social media, but just as quickly as she laments, SZA returns to tell the world that all is well with her team.

This week, SZA popped up on the remix to Kali Uchis's "Fue Mejor," and the pair even joined together for a brooding visual. There are a few scenes that will get fans a tad hot under the collar, but that can be expected for the pair of hitmakers. The original version of this track was released almost a year ago and hosted a feature from PartyNextDoor, and it seems that Uchis isn't quite finished riding its wave.

Watch the music video for "Fue Major (Remix)" and let us know what you think.

T-Pain & Kehlani Tap Bia For "I Like Dat (Remix)"

Earlier this year, the world received a gift when T-Pain and Kehlani shared their single, "I Like Dat." It is a song that came from a DM snafu that T-Pain shared with his millions of followers across social media; he revealed that he had hundreds, if not thousands of unanswered DMs. They were the result of years of being ignored, but T-Pain promised that it was an accident and he never intended on snubbing anyone.

He found a request from Kehlani in that bunch and soon, the pair delivered "I Like Dat." We were prepared to hear something new from T-Pain considering Bia teased a collaboration in recent days, and on Friday (October 1), "I Like Dat (Remix)" arrived. Bia has been reveling in her moment with successful singles alongside Russ and Nicki Minaj, and she's hoping that her "Bestio" track featuring G Herbo will have the same result.

Stream T-Pain's "I Like Dat (Remix) featuring Kehlani and Bia and let us know what you think.

Yo Gotti Returns With "For The Record"

There are big moves being made in Yo Gotti's camp, and he does not seem to be slowing down anytime soon. On the heels of the news that he is now a minority owner of a soccer team, Gotti celebrates by releasing a new single. "I was introduced to the game by my son and watched how quickly it has grown in our country, so I’m honored to join the D.C. United ownership group,” he said of his new venture.

The Memphis icon inserted himself into the New Music Friday by joining others like Meek MillLil Wayne, and Rich The Kid who also have releases to kick off the month of October. On Yo Gotti's "For The Record"—a track produced by SMPLGTWY, Boi-1da, Omar Guetfa, AT and A-Darian—the rapper spits bars that once again read like an anthem for the streets. Stream Gotti's latest and let us know if you're feeling "For The Record."

Bino Rideaux & Roddy Ricch Team Up On "Lemme Find Out"

As compared to other rappers, Roddy Ricch maintains a relatively low profile. His aptly titled Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial was a megahit, as has been each release, whether album or singles. We all enjoyed the international success of "Rockstar," a DaBaby track that hosted a Roddy feature, and now the Los Angeles native is back, this time, partnered with Bino Rideaux.

Weeks ago, we received Bino's King Combs-assisted "No Makeup," a bop that also came with a ladies-laced music video. No, he's back with "Lemme Find Out" featuring Roddy, and it is safe to say that fans are expecting a big music announcement in the coming weeks. On the track, the pair of rappers deliver a laid-back approach to the TIGGI and Don Alfonso-produced groove, making this one a single you will have on repeat during those late-night rides.

Stream "Lemme Find Out" and let us know your thoughts.

Quotable Lyrics

Give my dawg a hundred, like a blow we both on, yeah
They gon' see me on the 'gram, I gotta get my blow on

All this money in the bank got me feeling so alone

Lil Wayne & Rich The Kid Share Joint Album "Trust Fund Babies" Ft. YG

We've reported on just how often Lil Wayne sings Rich The Kid's praises, and now the pair have returned with their anticipated joint album. Weezy is a legend, icon, and GOAT in the music industry, so securing a collaborative project with the Lousiana rapper is no easy feat. There are artists clamoring for an opportunity to work with Wayne, and several are seething with jealousy with the release of Trust Fund Babies.

Rich The Kid is no stranger to joint projects and most recently, he partnered with NBA YoungBoy for their November 2020 record, Nobody Safe. On Trust Fund Babies, we find Rich The Kid and Lil Wayne holding things down as a duo for the majority of the album, aside from a feature from special guest YG.

He gave himself his own flowers in a recent social media post, and Meek Mill is ready to share the music he has been working on. The Philly rapper may steal attention over his funny tweets, viral moments, or internet beefs, but Meek is serious about his music. Bill Cosby's Publicist Catches Heat For R. Kelly "Railroaded" Comments

When we see statements or comments being made from someone's account, we obviously believe it comes from that person. Sure, people are known to quote others, but that is, usually, made clear. However, that has not been the case with Bill Cosby, and now the public is reevaluating several of the elderly actor's recent comments.

Within the last week, we have seen Cosby's account post about Boosie Badazz, praising the rapper and asking the public to support his biopic My Struggle. News also circulated that Cosby believed R. Kelly was "railroaded" after his publicist stopped for an interview and told TMZ just as much, but after receiving backlash, the publicist has returned.

Another update from Cosby's account has gone viral after it showed that not everything his publicist claims has necessarily been the actor's opinions. Andrew Wyatt surfaced with an explanation, stating that certain sentiments are his, not his clients.

"As the publicist of Mr. Cosby, I have the right to my opinion and my opinion is not a reflection of Mr. Cosby's. Yes, I feel that Robert Kelly was railroaded and those were my words, not the words of Mr. Cosby. I will continue to reflect my views because the 1st Amendment allows me the same privileges as the media. That you very much."

People have accused Wyatt of overstepping his boundaries and believe he should be fired. Check it out below.

Unvaccinated NBA Players Will Not Be Paid For Missed Games: Report

Since the NBA's slate of media days got underway a couple of days ago, the narrative surrounding the league and the COVID-19 vaccine has turned into a complete rollercoaster.

Golden State Warriors' forward Andrew Wiggins applied for a religious exemption to avoid the vaccine but was denied, the aunt of Brooklyn Nets' guard Kyrie Irving said the superstar scorer was going to flat-out refuse the vaccine and both Bradley Beal and Michael Porter Jr. have made it clear they are unvaccinated and uncomfortable taking the vaccine, despite both players previously contracting the virus.

Wiggins, Irving, Beal and Porter Jr. are all high-profile players and their refusal of the vaccine has blown a situation in which the NBA is, in fact, 90% vaccinted according to NBAPA president C.J. McCollum, out of proportion but has driven conversation nonetheless.

Ezra Shaw/Getty Images

While Beal and Porter Jr., however, will not be faced with maximum resistance for being unvaccinated, Wiggins and Irving are in a different boat. Because San Francisco and New York City have both implemented vaccine mandates for individuals wanting to participate in indoor activities, both players would be forced to miss every home game until they get the shot.

And according to recent reports, the NBA has no plans to pay unvaccinated players for the games they miss due to vaccine mandates. This means that, if players like Wiggins and Irving don't change their minds, they will forfeit at least 41 games worth of pay due to not being able to play inside in San Francisco and Brooklyn. Both players are on large contracts and would miss out on a ton of of money -- $15.8 million for Wiggins and $17.5 million for Irving.

Al Bello/Getty Images

Based on how both Wiggins and Irving have talked about the vaccine, it doesn't seem likely that either player will have a change of heart but the most effective way to change anybody's mind is to attach dollars signs and with these reports, it's clear the NBA isn't pulling any punches in their quest for 100% vaccination rates.

What do you think of Wiggins and Irving potentially losing out on millions of dollars? Let us know in the comments.

Tyga Revealed As Dalmatian On "The Masked Singer"

The Masked Singer is one of the most unpredictable reality competition shows on television right now. Celebrities wear gigantic, eccentric costumes and perform with a panel of judges, and the audience at home, all guessing who might be behind the mask. Following Toni Braxton's disappointing elimination on last week's show, another celeb has been unmasked, with fans surprised to see rapper Tyga behind the Dalmatian costume.

The California-born rapper performed "Beautiful" by Pharrell and Snoop Dogg, and none of the judges thought that he was behind the costume. Even Robin Thicke, who has collaborated with Tyga in the past, didn't recognize his voice. Among the clues that were given, a gym rack was shown (for Tyga's hit song "Rack City"), a cat represented the artist's stage name, and the "Scream" painting was a hint at Tyga's role in Scream

The judges believed that it was a rapper behind the mask, but they thought that it could have been Nelly. Robin Thicke and Nicole Scherzinger both guessed him, whereas Jenny McCarthy thought it was Steve Harvey, and Ken Jeong said the Dalmatian was Reggie Bush. When Tyga revealed his identity, he became the first person eliminated from Group B. He told Nick Cannon after he was eliminated that he was inspired by Lil Wayne, who appeared on the last season of the show, to compete.

Unfortunately, he didn't end up winning, but he did a pretty good job. Check out his performance below.

Dallas Mavericks Unamiously Choose Drake Over Kanye West

Several weeks after the release of both Kanye West's Donda and Drake's Certified Lover Boy, the debate over which artist delivered a better album rages on. According to Charlamagne Tha God, it shouldn't really matter because artists such as Tyler, The Creator and J. Cole dropped significantly better albums, but despite the Breakfast Club host's hot take, fans are keeping the Drake and Kanye West beef alive.

Apparently, the Dallas Mavericks basketball team is as well. In a new video posted to the team's official TikTok, several Mavs players reveal who they would choose between Kanye and Drake, and surprisingly, Drake came out with a unanimous victory.

Unfortunately, Dallas' star player, Luka Dončić, wasn't around to submit his vote in the Donda vs. Certified Lover Boy debate, but 10 people from the Mavs, which mainly included new faces with a sprinkle of notable players like Kristaps Porziņģis and Jalen Brunson.

One by one, the players offered up their pick between Ye and Drizzy, and some also provided an explanation for their choice. Newly signed rookie Eugene Omoruyi chalked it up to hometown loyalty, saying "Drake because I'm from Toronto. Drake for sure." Perhaps the person with the strangest reasoning, however, was new head coach Jason Kidd, who said, "Kanye versus Drake? I'm going Drake because he's lightskin."

Check out the full TikTok below and let us know if you think the Dallas Mavericks players' musical opinions should be taken seriously or with a grain of salt.

Latto Switches It Up For "Shook Ones" Freestyle

Many mainstream rappers tend to find themselves facing an interesting creative conundrum; do they double down on a more commercially accessible and universal sound, or attempt to gain credibility from the hip-hop heads? For Latto, who continues to rise and find success exploring songs like "Big Energy," being boxed in does not appear to be an option.

Today, she took a moment to hold it down for REVOLT's new OFF TOP freestyle series, queuing up Mobb Deep's timeless "Shook Ones" for the occasion. Though she only spits for a little over a minute, Latto manages to impress with a few notable punchlines, showcasing a clever pen game as she references Big Tigger, Quality Control, and more. Check it out for yourself now, and sound off if you think Latto should experiment with the boom-bap style more often.

Quotable Lyrics

So if a n***a hit, I can take him out of poverty
Huh, nah for real, honestly

"The Wendy Williams Show" Delayed Again Due To "Ongoing Medical Issues"

A day ago, The Wendy Williams Show official Instagram page posted that host Wendy Williams would return to her customary purple chair on October 4 to kick off the daytime talk show's 13th season.

This announcement came as a bit of a surprise, as Williams has been dealing with a myriad of problems and had previously moved Season 13's start date to address "ongoing health issues."

Teresa Kroeger/Getty Images

It turns out the sentiment of surprise was warranted.

Taking to Instagram to announce that Williams would not be back on October 4 the @wendyshow Instagram account informed followers that the "How You Doin'?" host would actually return on October 18, as she is still dealing with other, "ongoing medical issues."

According to her show's Instagram post, Williams, who was vocal about not taking the COVID-19 vaccine, has reportedly recovered from her breakthrough COVID case, but still has to address other areas before returning to TV.

The post does not acknowledge what those other issues are but just a couple of weeks ago, Williams was reportedly hospitalized and undergoing voluntary psychiatric evaluations. The talk show host has publicly described her battles with addiction and alcoholism and it is believed that, according to an insider's report to The Sun that, "Wendy drinks every day," and is "in need of serious help."

Whether or not Williams is actually back in her host chair on October 18 is to be seen but from the multiple delays to reports of a seemingly-dire situation, it will be interesting to see what happens from here on out. Williams is one of the most polarizing personalities in television and is always stirring the pot somehow and the longer her absence goes, the more people are going to try to get to the bottom of what is actually going on.

What do you think of The Wendy Williams Show being delayed again? Let us know in the comments.

21 Savage Is Considering A Few Musical Options

21 Savage is currently preoccupied rocking the stage as an integral part of J. Cole's ongoing The Off-Season tour, but that doesn't mean he isn't looking toward the future.

Though his latest release -- the Metro Boomin-assisted Savage Mode 2 -- was released relatively recently, Savage appears to be putting the pieces together for his next project. Taking to Twitter to gauge fan responses, Savage inquires as to whether the masses want to see him pursue one of three options: a) trap, b) r&b, and c) in my feelings.

21 Savage

Jason Mendez/Getty Images

At the time of this writing, the results seem to favor "trap" by a staggering 60.5 percent. R&B received little to no support with 17 percent, while the mysterious "in my feelings" currently holds down second place with 22 percent.

It's interesting, however, to note how 21 continues to show interest in exploring rhythm and blues. It's not entirely rare to see the Atlanta rapper sharing a clip of himself singing his heart out, and while his voice isn't entirely top tier material, there's a raw honesty and vulnerability that's downright endearing; think OT Genasis' "Never Knew."

Of course, the old idiom of "if it ain't broke don't fix it" tends to hold true for a reason, and it's clear that the fans aren't quite fed up of 21's trap music yet -- even if the rapper is feeling the slightest temptation to get his own 808s & Heartbreaks off his chest. Should you be interested in weighing in on 21's question, check out his poll below.

Do you think the game could benefit from a 21 Savage r&b album?

Kelly Price Removed From National Missing Persons Registry: Report

Last weekend, Kelly Price was reported missing, and fans of the "Heartbreak Hotel," "As We Lay," and "Friend of Mine" singer immediately hit social media to spread awareness about the news in an attempt to help locate Kelly Price. Fortunately, Kelly Price's legal team swiftly confirmed that the Grammy-nominated artist was safe and sound, and the reason for her absence on social media was due to her recovering from an intense battle with COVID-19.

Despite the statement shared on Price's Instagram, her family wasn't fully convinced because they hadn't heard from Kelly directly. Thus to quell any troubling rumors, Kelly Price made a public appearance during an interview with TMZ, during which she confirmed once and for all that she was not missing.

Kelly Price has since informed her fans that she is "going back into solace and silence," and according to TMZ, her legal team has ensured that the acclaimed singer is no longer listed as a missing person with authorities.

After performing the mandatory welfare and safety check, Kelly Price has officially been removed from the National Crime Information Center's National Missing Persons Registry.

R. Kelly Loses Key To The City Of Baton Rouge

R. Kelly is losing his special privileges in the city of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he was previously presented with a key to the city. The very same official that bestowed him with the honor, Denise Marcelle, has announced that she is rescinding his key to the city following his guilty conviction in a sex trafficking and racketeering trial.

Marcelle presented R. Kelly with a key to the city of Baton Rouge in February 2013, but she allegedly regrets honoring the disgraced singer, reversing the formality years later. Kelly will be stripped of the honor, but Marcelle won't be taking back the key or plaque that was presented to him.

At the time that Kelly was presented with the honor, there were allegations against him. However, Marcelle says that she didn't do her proper homework on Kelly, telling TMZ that she was simply aware that he was acquitted in 2008. Marcelle is presently part of the Louisiana House of Representatives, but she still has the power to rescind Kelly's key in Baton Rouge since she was the one who presented it.

The "I Believe I Can Fly" singer is currently facing life in prison for his crimes, and he will be sentenced next year. We will continue to keep you updated as more information is released.

Michael Gandolfini Talks Following In His Father's Footsteps As Tony Soprano

When James Gandolfini tragically passed away in 2013, the world mourned the loss of an incredible actor and arguably the greatest television character of all time, Tony Soprano.

Gandolfini's Soprano, the star and anchor of HBO's The Sopranos, combined ruthlessness, shrewdness and fearfulness into one character and captivated viewers across the country for seasons at a time. Unfortunately, because of the most-insane cliff hanger series' finale of all time, we never found out what happened to Tony Soprano. Some believe he went about his business, some believe that last glance towards that restaurant door was the end of the television mob boss.

Either way, it has never been revealed what happened to Tony following the series finale but Sopranos fans have been happy to learn that we will learn about Tony before The Sopranos, and another Gandolfini will be responsible for telling the story.

In the upcoming film, The Many Saints of Newark, billed as a sort-of prequel to the hallowed Sopranos franchise, Michael Gandolfini, James' 22-year-old son is set to play a young Tony Soprano.

Just days before the film's release on October 1, the newest face of The Soprano legacy stopped by The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon to talk about stepping into his father's role and how growing up around the original show helped him prepare to be Tony.

Calling it "surreal" to play "one of the greatest characters," Gandolfini acknowledged some initial hesitation to accept the role and his desire not to be overshadowed by his father's performance as the OG Tony Soprano.

"I thought, not only because I want to be my own actor (and) my own person, but also I had never seen the show so I didn’t even know what Tony was," the young actor told Fallon. "The show was like a jungle gym to me ... That’s sort of what I knew. I had grown up on the set but set to me was, you know, being in my dad’s trailer. And Tony Soprano was no more than, like, my dad eating a sandwich in a robe."

David Livingston/Getty Images

However, after dissecting the character, Gandolfini said he accepted the role, watched the entire Sopranos series from front to back and in just one day, will transform into a version of Tony Soprano we've never seen before.

The Many Saints of Newark, releasing in theaters and on HBO Max, is set in the 60s and 70s and will presumably paint the picture of how Soprano secured his spot atop HBO's fictional version of New Jersey's Italian mafia.

Check out The Many Saints of Newark when it drops tomorrow and let us know what you're expecting from Michael Gandolfini in the comments.

Rick Ross Shows Meek Mill's "Expensive Pain" Some MMG Love

Rick Ross has long declared himself to be hip-hop's biggest boss, and with many now having seen his monthly income, the title is unlikely to be disputed. Now, the MMG head honcho is set to unleash another album into the world, with Meek Mill's Expensive Pain officially due out for release tomorrow, October 1st.

With the album merely one day out from shipping, Rozay took a moment to promote Meek's upcoming body of work on his Instagram page. "Lil bro @meekmill New Album “Expensive Pain” drop 10/1," he captions, alongside the album's artwork. Some might be surprised to see the label loyalty, given that Akademiks previously sparked a rumor that the MMG camp was suffering from inner turmoil and animosity.

Meek Mill Rick Ross

 Shareif Ziyadat/Getty Images

While the "beef" narrative is purely speculative, it goes without saying that one does not become hip-hop's biggest boss without a healthy dose of pragmatism. Regardless of what might be going on internally over at MMG, Rozay clearly understands the value of -- at least presenting -- a united front. Alas, he doesn't appear to be spitting any bars on Expensive Pain, as his verse on Championships highlight "What's Free" was a strong offering from the Wingstop entrepreneur.

It's entirely possible that Meek Mill is eying a future away from MMG, as the ambitious rapper surely has his sights set on becoming a large-scale boss in his own right. For the time being, however, Renzel is keeping things entirely professional, and we'll have to wait and see how the inevitable album listening party plays out.

Check out Rozay's Expensive Pain shout out right here, and sound off in the comments if you'll be showing Meek some day one support when he drops at midnight.

Nicki Minaj Gets Petty With Drake, Lil Wayne, & Mack Maine

Come on, now... you can't have a Young Money reunion without The Queen!

This week, Drake, Lil Wayne, Mack Maine, and a bunch of other Young Money-affiliated artists and executives met up for Lil Wayne's thirty-ninth birthday, celebrating together and remembering all of the good times they had back in the day. They shared pictures all over social media, but one very notable person was missing from the shots: Nicki Minaj. The superstar rapper seemingly wasn't invited to the get-together, prompting her to playfully throw some shade on Instagram.

Johnny Nunez/Getty Images

"I had so much fun," she joked, getting petty with her comment on Mack Maine's photo.

"Lawwwdddd," responded Mack Maine, adding three shocked emojis. "Don't do it like that Nicketo!!! This shit was so last minute. We could run it back deaux it wasn't complete without you [crying face emoji] [broken heart emoji]."

It was last-minute, but they sure had enough time to invite about a dozen people to the party. Nicki isn't the only person that's petty that she didn't get an invite though. Reginae Carter, Lil Wayne's daughter, empathized with the rapper on Instagram.

"They always do that shitttttt," she complained. "They did it to me last time sis it’s okay!"

Check out Nicki's comment below, as well as some photos from the Young Money reunion underneath.

Drake Says It's Young Money "Forever And Ever"

When Lil Wayne enlisted Drake and Nicki Minaj to be the faces of Young Money back in the late 2000s/early 2010s, nobody expected that Wayne, already one of the biggest rappers in the game, would be responsible for giving us two more.

But that's exactly what happened. Drake and Nicki took off and, along with their respective fanbases, have been dominating the charts and conversation ever since.

Never shy to pay their respects to the man to put them on, however, both rappers have always given Lil Wayne all the flowers he deserves and a couple nights ago, at Weezy's 39th birthday party, Drake gave a toast to Tha Carter rapper and ensured him that he would do anything for the YMCMB head honcho.

And in an Instagram post commemorating the night, the Toronto rapper made one thing very clear -- it's Young Money until the very end.

Flicking up with Wayne, Young Money president Mack Maine, Gudda Gudda and the rest of their YM crew, Drake came with the all-caps caption, "YM FOREVER AND EVER."

Although it's been quite some time since we've seen Wayne, Drake, Nicki or anyone else rocking the block-letter YMCMB hoodies around or heard anybody repping the collective super hard in their music, there has been a steady flow of subtle nods to the Cash Money Records sub-label. From linking up on Weezy's radio show, to Drizzy popping into Minaj's IG Lives, to this summer's "Seeing Green," their first collective track in a minute that saw all three working in harmony like they were running the triangle offense.

There's obviously the hope that, like with their Drake vs. Lil Wayne tour back in 2014, that at least a couple of YM artists could link back up for some sort of project in the future but, with Drake and Minaj achieving superstar status and building lives and careers of their own, it would be easier said than done.

Ethan Miller/Getty Images

We'll keep our fingers crossed for a Young Money collective project but, in the meantime, let us know what you think of Drizzy's birthday pic for Wayne and drop your favorite YM collab track in the comments.

On the picture of the paper, Meek also wrote in some manifestations, writing "triple plat" on one side and seemingly speaking that into existence. He also showed love to some of hip-hop's fallen angels in recent years, Nipsey Hussle and Lil Snupe, writing their names beside the title of his song "Angels." And in the top left corner, Meek continued one of the major themes in his artistic career, writing, "Dreams become reality."

Megan Thee Stallion, Maluma, & Rock Mafia Unite On "Crazy Family"

“Just in time for my favorite season,” Megan Thee Stallion teased on Twitter last weekend. “Collabed with @maluma for ADAMS FAMILY 2 out Oct. 1st.” The second animated Addam's Family film arrives at the top of the morning on Friday (October 1), and to help build a buzz about the family-friendly film, "Crazy Family" has hit DSPs.

The track, as Megan revealed days ago, features the Houston Rapper, Maluma, and Rock Mafia. Those explicit lyrics are kept on ice this time around as "Crazy Family" will be included on a soundtrack made for both kids and adults. In Addams Family 2, viewers will find Gomez, Morticia, and their creepy and kooky relatives embarking on a road trip while crammed together in a camper. The film stars Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron, Snoop Dogg, ChloĆ« Grace Moretz, Nick Kroll, and many other notable entertainers.

Stream "Crazy Family" and share your thoughts.

Skylar Grey Rallies Eminem, Polo G, & Mozzy For "Last One Standing"

After much teasing, "Last One Standing" has arrived. We've reported on the gossip and updates leading up to this release, and just ahead of Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage hitting movie theaters, the anticipated Skylar Grey collaboration with Mozzy, Polo G, and Eminem was revealed. The slow-burning single seemingly complements each of the different artists as they approach the track in their own style and rhythm.

Back in 2018, Eminem championed "Venom," a song pulled from his acclaimed Kamikaze album that also served as the title track for the first Venom film. Just prior to the release of "Last One Standing," Eminem was in his hometown of Detroit at his newly opened downtown restaurant, Mom's Spaghetti. He posed for photos with fans and surprised them by serving food at the walk-up window.

Make sure to check out Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage and stream "Last One Standing."

Quotable Lyrics

But all you see is the fame and the millions
You don't see the strength and resilience (Nah)
How I rack my brain but it feels as if I'm tryna explain it to children (Damn)
So a lot of this pain isn't healin', you're escapin' at this dangerous feeling
Almost like recreatin' a feelin' of 9/11 when the second plane hit the building
So let 'em paint you the villain

Eminem Surprises Fans At Mom's Spaghetti Restaurant, Poses For Photos

It was expected for there to be a massive turnout at Mom's Spaghetti, but no one thought Eminem would actually make an appearance. The rapper has recently opened the restaurant within Union Assembly in Detroit and while people were already excited for the "Lose Yourself" referenced eatery to open, they went wild to see Em face-to-face.

The Detroit Free Press reported that fans were lined up for blocks ahead of the restaurant's opening, with many even camping out from the early morning hours in anticipation.

Once the walk-up window slid open, those firsts guests were treated to surprise as Eminem was the person making their order. Mom's Spaghetti has a predictable vegan-friendly menu with very few options, but still, it is a hit. The first 10 people in line were able to meet Em and take photos with him before he treated them to a free meal.

"The opportunity to build a permanent location based on an incredibly meta-reference was one that everyone at Union Joints, as a Metro Detroit restaurant group, took very seriously," Union Joints Restaurant Group co-owner Curt Catallo said in a press release. "We’re proud of the fact that we created a scratch sauce that tastes like it’s straight from the jar, and wok-firing the noodles gives it that leftover pasta snap."

The second floor of Union Assembly hosts a store called Trailer, aptly named after the rapper's 8 Mile character's home. Fans can reportedly find Shady Records merchandise as well as general Detroit branded clothing. In the future, Trailer will reportedly host Eminem memorabilia including his "Without Me" superhero garb.

Yung Baby Tate Slams Critics Who Made Rude Comments About Her Natural Body

She rocked the stage at last weekend's Afropunk festival, but Yung Baby Tate was later hit with criticism. Some have called the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star the next in line, and as her fans continue to support her performances and releases, not everyone is approving of her look. At Afropunk, Tate wore a leopard outfit with a top that showed her stomach, and people were quick to make jokes and rude remarks about her body.

It didn't faze Yung Baby Tate one bit, but she did share an image of herself at the festival with a caption that praised women who have opted against cosmetic surgery. For days she's been going back and forth with naysayers, but she finalized the conversation with the post.

"As Queen Bey once said, 'wanna see some REAL A$$?! Baby here’s your chance!' Shoutout to all my natural bellied bodies," wrote Tate. "I see you, I am you, I love you. No matter WHAT my body looks like, it is MINE and I love it! Please go project your insecurities onto a piece of paper, burn it, and throw it away. Then go look in the mirror and tell yourself how much you are loved."

In an industry where BBLs and liposuction are the norms, Yung Baby Tate has regularly faced criticism for deciding to show off all of her curves. Several people co-signed her message, but many added that people can be proud of their surgically enhanced bodies, as well. Check out Yung Baby Tate's posts below.

Ellen Pompeo Cussed Out Denzel Washington On "Grey's Anatomy" Set

There have been several guest directors on Grey's Anatomy, but apparently, Denzel Washington's inclusion stirred up controversy behind the scenes. The award-winning actor has dipped his toes in all facets of the industry, although he is best known for his applause-worthy portrayals in each and every film on his resumĆ©.

However, when he directed "The Sound of Silence" back in 2016, Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo revealed she allegedly got into a heated discussion with Washington.

The actress was on her Tell Me with Ellen Pompeo podcast with former co-star Patrick Dempsey when she recalled the interaction. According to Pompeo, she was in the middle of a scene and decided to improvise a few lines and yelled them at the other character. Because the lines weren't in the script, Pompeo claims Washington went off.

"That wasn't in the dialogue. And Denzel went ham on my ass. He was like, ‘I'm the director. Don't you tell him what to do,'" she said. "I was like, ‘Listen, motherf*cker, this is my show.' This is my set. Who are you telling?" Pompeo added that she has no animosity with Washington and they were able to lay aside their differences.

"So, we didn't get through it without a fight, but that's actors for you," she said. "Passionate and fiery and that's where you get the magic, and that's where you get the good stuff. So, it was an amazing experience, it really was."

Social media users made this story a trending topic and had much to say about Pompeo screaming at Denzel. Check it out below.

Bill Cosby Promotes Boosie Badazz's "My Struggle," Wants It To Be A "Box Office Success"

One day after stating that he believed R. Kelly "got railroaded" with a guilty verdict, Bill Cosby is back in headlines. The veteran entertainer knows a thing or two about the effects of a sex crimes scandal and the feeling had when learning of a conviction, so he expressed sympathy to the music icon. Cosby has often come forward to speak up for those that he believes deserve support or for those that defend him against allegations of sexual misconduct. Following his remarks about Kelly, Cosby reappeared on his Instagram to give a shoutout to Boosie Badazz, a longtime supporter.

Boosie has recently released his biopic My Struggle and has run into a few roadblocks now that the film has appeared on YouTube and pirating sites for free. The rapper has lamented over people placing a dent in his profits, but Cosby wanted Boosie to know that he had his support.

On Instagram, Cosby uploaded the poster of My Struggle and wrote, "Lil Boosie, I have always appreciated your truth and support. What I’m about to say, is not to compensate you because you supported Bill Cosby. My publicist, Mr. Andrew Wyatt told me about your film, 'My Struggle' and I am encouraging all of my supporters and fans to make this American Citizen, Lil Boosie’s film, 'My Struggle' a box office success."

"Thank you very much." The internet had quite a bit to say about this unlikely friendship, so you can check it out for yourself below.

Tommie Lee & Akbar B Argue & Try To Fight Each Other On "The Conversation"

It was just a little over a year ago when The Conversation went viral. The Zeus Network series features people at odds coming together to mend fences, but it doesn't seem to be working out too well. Last year, Masika Kalysha and Hazel-E went at it during their appearance and a few cruel insults turned into a full-blown fistfight. The tradition continues as Tommie Lee and Akbar V joined together to talk out their grievances, but instead, things turned chaotic.

A clip of the interaction has circulated online and people are reacting to the violent altercation.

"You don't have a page, you don't have endorsements, you have nothing going on!" Tommie is seen screaming in the video. "You have nothing going on!" Then, the scene cuts to the two women rushing at each other, but of course, several security guards stood in their way before holding each of them back.

Akbar promised that Tommie would have to "see" her, so unless they decided to lay this beef to rest, it doesn't seem to be ending soon. Tommie soon found herself on the receiving end of trolls who once again accused her of being an alcoholic, and she wrote on her Instagram Story that the narrative is "played out."

Check out the clip below.

Dolly Parton Approves Of Lil Nas X's "Jolene" Cover: "I Was So Excited"

Love him or hate him, Lil Nas X's reach continues to grow. The controversial Popstar has received praise for his debut album Montero, and now, that acclaim has earned the attention of Dolly Parton. Recently, Lil Nas X honored the Country icon and gave his rendition of her classic track "Jolene" while visiting BBC Radio One's Live Lounge. There have been thousands of other artists out there who have covered this song, but Parton made sure to give Nas X her stamp of approval.

The singer shared a clip of the cover on Twitter and sent off a message of appreciation.

Icewear Vezzo Links With Future For "Everyday"

Detroit rapper Icewear Vezzo has returned with his brand new album Rich Off Pints 2, featuring guest appearances from Future, Moneybagg Yo, Babyface Ray, RMR, and more. While Vezzo himself largely holds it down across the fourteen-track endeavor, one of the notable highlights worth showcasing arrives by way of "Everyday," one of two collaborations with Future.

By now, fans already know that Future tends to deliver on featured tracks, and this one is no exception. A veteran in the game at this point, Future holds it down with the opening verse. "I'm so geeked off these pills in a Phantom with a K, Me and Vezzo, we twins, I'm in Detroit every day," he raps. "Got a bando in the 6 straight to the California state /I got fentanyl on my shirt cost a feature from Drake."

Vezzo picks up with similar energy, riding the Antt Beats-produced banger with a dynamic flow. "I got shooters, I got opps, fuck your hood and fuck your block," he sneers. "Eighty K around my neck, had to suicide my watch / I can't move without my Glock, I can't do without my chop." Check out the hard-hitting "Everyday" now, and stream Rich Off Pints 2 right here.

Florida Man Pulls Off Daring Alligator Capture With A Trash Can, Twitter Reacts

Since Donald Glover brought the mainstream's attention to the concept of "Florida Man," it seems as if everything that happens below the panhandle turns into another viral episode of Florida Man doing Florida Man things.

Fortunately, that's not a bad thing all.

Every video that comes out of Florida features something you've never seen (unless you're from Florida) and leaves your jaw pretty close to the floor.

The latest instance of Florida Man doing his Florida thing came via Twitter and a video of a man, rocking Adidas slides, going toe-to-toe with an alligator in front of his garage.

Bruce Bennett/Getty Images

The Florida Man, equipped with just a tipped-over trash can, inches towards the gator until the animal's head is inside the can and that's where the mayhem ensued. Upon trying to lift the trash can to capture the gator, the lid falls and hits the gator in the head. The gator lurches forward towards Florida Man but ends up all the way in the trash can.

Using an Adidas slide as a sort-of lever, the man lifts the trash can, leaving the gator's tail trashing about until finally slipping all the way into the darkness.

A daring alligator capture, it looked like this guy had done this before. A three-pronged thought process including deciding to capture a gator, deciding to use a trash can to capture the gator and actually capturing the prehistoric beast seemed like it was second nature for him and he executed the plan to perfection.

The only complaint here is that it looks a little like this Floridian was rocking Nike socks with those Adidas slides but when an alligator comes knocking, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Check out how Twitter felt about this Florida man's daring alligator capture and let us know what you think in the comments below.

Lil Nas X Felt It Was His Duty To Come Out Amidst "Old Town Road" Success

Lil Nas X has been turning heads and sparking debates all year long with his sexually charged music videos, and like them or not, they have been bringing an unapologetic homosexual perspective to a cishet male-dominated field. The public discourse around Lil Nas X's lead-up to MONTERO has been so intense that it's easy to forget that the "Industry Baby" artist has only publicly expressed his sexuality for just two years.

According to Complex, the artist behind one of the year's biggest singles, "MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)," recently caught up with XXL to discuss his recent commercial and critical success as well as his responsibility to bring LGBQT+ representation to Hip-Hop.

Lil Nas X visits the SiriusXM Studios on September 14, 2021 in New York City.
Cindy Ord/Getty Images

Lil Nas X reveals that "Old Town Road" is what actually inspired him to come out during the summer of 2019, while his country-rap single still had a chokehold on the music industry.

"I don’t think I would have ever came out," the Georgia-bred artist explained. "I honestly felt like it was kind of my duty. Especially if I wanted to move forward. And [with] what I was doing, because authenticity is very real, and I feel like people can see right through that. And that’s a part of me."

"I used to ‘like’ comments where people were like, ‘Oh, I like him, because he’s not all in your face about it.’ And then I realized kind of what that was," Lil Nas X continued. "It’s kind of like when people say, ‘Oh, I have a Black friend,’ and that kind of sits on everything that have to do with their Black history and culture, whatnot. I’m kind of like, I’m not that person, you know?"

In other Lil Nas X news, the first-week sales numbers for MONTERO are officially in, and you can also check out HNHH's review of his debut album here.

50 Cent Flexes Ambitious Television Empire After "BMF" Premiere

50 Cent's television empire recently expanded to include the recently-premiered BMF, a series documenting the rise of the Black Mafia Family founded by Demetrius "Big Meech" Flenory and Terry "Southwest T" Flenory.

Billed as his most ambitious endeavor yet, Fif previously claimed that BMF would surpass Power in scope and reach. With early reviews of the premiere already looking positive, Fif took a moment to reflect on the successful groundwork he's laid so far.

50 Cent

 Prince Williams/FilmMagic/Getty Images

Citing an article titled "50 Cent's Promising TV Empire Shouldn't Be Overlooked," with artwork that seemingly draws parallels between BMF and The Godfather, Fif added his two cents in the accompanying caption. "It’s just diversity, My projects will be #1 before we can change the hearts and minds of people who are set in their ways," he notes, likely alluding to his apparent inability to receive proper recognition from The Emmy Awards and similar establishments

Despite the Power was never nominated for an Emmy Award, a Screen Actors Guild award, or a Golden Globe, Fif has seemingly gained further inspiration from the snubs and channeled his defiance into motivation. It's certainly not the first time Fif has been overlooked -- lest we forget the time he lost "Best New Artist" at the 2004 Grammy Awards after blessing the game with Get Rich Or Die Tryin, a pain he still carries to this day.

Check out 50's latest TV flex below, spurred on by the recent release of BMF, which airs new episodes every Sunday on Starz. Have you checked it out?

21 Savage Nearly Loses Teeth At J. Cole Concert, Drake & G Herbo React

21 Savage nearly humbled himself during the latest stop of J. Cole's The Off-Season tour, catching himself from what would have been a hard fall as he performed "a lot" with the North Carolina-based rapper.

The Atlanta resident posted a video of himself performing on J. Cole's tour, joining the rapper on stage for their collaborative song "a lot." When he ran near the front of the stage though, Savage lost his footing and nearly wiped out, sharing the moment on Instagram.

Steve Granitz/Getty Images

"This the closest I’ll ever be to falling off," joked Savage, posting the video of him tripping over some wiring and catching himself a couple of times before regaining his balance.

Rappers and producers have been reacting to the near wipe-out moment, with Drake leading the charge, complimenting Savage on his form. "Agile," he simply wrote in the comments. Pi'erre Bourne and G Herbo also chimed in, leaving laughing emojis in the forum. SG Tip, one of Savage's close friends, wrote, "Man you slow as hell." And YNW Bortlen, who is YNW Melly's co-defendant in his double murder case, commented, "Boa yo ass almost ate soo much paint."

Thankfully, Savage didn't hit the floor because at the speed he was going, he could have lost some teeth had he fallen flat on his face. Check out his save below.

In other news, the rapper will be on the upcoming episode of DJ Akademiks' new podcast Off The Record, where he has already gone viral for his comments about Drake and Future, as well as Kanye West's DONDA.

Wendy Williams Announces Return To Her Show Amidst "Ongoing Health Issues"

The last month has been a rollercoaster for Wendy Williams.

Starting with the initial announcement that The Wendy Williams Show would return for its 13th season on September 20, Williams almost immediately cancelled all promotional activities for the show, citing "ongoing health issues," as the reason for the cancellation. Days later, it was announced things had taken another turn for the worst.

Ilya S. Savenok/Getty Images

Williams, despite previous, public criticism of the COVID-19 vaccine, was reportedly suffering from a breakthrough COVID case and was forced to move her show's Season 13 premiere date from the 20th to October 4. That same day, however, it was revealed that Williams had been hospitalized and was undergoing voluntary psych evaluations.

The talk show host has been open and honest about her struggles with alcoholism and addiction in the past and it was rumored that Williams was relying heavily on alcohol. Calling Williams "an alcoholic," a source close to the situation told The Sun that "Wendy drinks every day," and that "she doesn't need a talk show, she needs help."

Yesterday, however, The Wendy Williams Show official Instagram page announced that Williams would be back in her customary purple chair on Monday, October 4 to kick off the show's new season.

Whether or not the daytime talk show host will address anything that has happened in the last couple of weeks is yet to be seen but, knowing Wendy Williams, there will be an acknowledgement of her battle with COVID and subsequent hospitalization.

Will you be tuned in when Wendy kicks off Season 13 next Monday? Let us know in the comments.

Meek Mill's "Expensive Pain" Artwork Pops Up In Various Cities

Meek Mill is set to drop off his brand new album Expensive Pain on Friday, October 1st -- his first full-length release since delivering Championships in 2018.

A few weeks back, the Philadelphia rapper slash activist revealed the project's NSFW artwork - painted by artist Nina Chanel Abney -- which ultimately led to the post being "age-restricted" by Instagram. Still, Meek's colorful cover choice was certainly striking, and today it has been reported that a variant of the artwork has been popping up in several different United States cities.

A recent post from Meek Mill details the sudden emergence of Expensive Pain marketing showcases them lining buses, boats, billboards, trains, murals, and more. Locations named are, at this moment, Miami, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, New York, and Atlanta -- you can check them out for yourself below, as per Meek's page.

As for Expensive Pain, billed by Meek himself as for "motivational purposes only," it would appear that we've already heard a few tracks from the upcoming project -- namely "Sharing Locations" with Lil Baby and Lil Durk and "Blue Notes 2" with Lil Uzi Vert. It will be interesting to see what Meek has been cooking up, as his previous effort was arguably his most critically acclaimed album yet.

Check out some glimpses at Meek's pre-release album campaign below, and sound off in the comments if you're excited to hear Expensive Pain in full.

Kanye West Drops The Long-Awaited Perfect Hoodie As A Yeezy Gap Exclusive

Months after the huge, chart-topping release of his tenth studio album Donda and days after the ridiculed, yet sold-out release of his yellow Yeezy Knit Runners, Kanye West's commercial dominance continues. Today, the musician-turned-fashion icon has unleashed the latest round of merchandise from his hyped Yeezy Gap collection, a six-piece collection of plain hoodies.

According to Complex, the black, brown, red, blue, purple, and light brown hoodies now available on the official Yeezy Gap website are in the long-anticipated design that Kanye West reportedly referred to as the perfect hoodie. Ye's perfect hoodie was previously described as being "lightly cropped at the waist" and "heavy as a winter coat," and these new Yeezy Gap releases definitely match that description.

At the time of publishing, Kanye's new Yeezy Gap hoodie collection is still available for United States customers in several sizes, and they will set you back $90 before tax. Most of the hoodies will take two to three weeks to ship, but the black colorway, specifically, will take a bit long and ship in six-eight weeks.

Since hopping on Drake's "Pipe Down" beat for "Heaven's EP" last week, J. Cole had been ramping up towards his much-anticipated Off-Season tour.

Kicking off the tour in Miami on Friday night, he brought out a myriad of guests including Drizzy himself, who took a moment during the show to let the Born Sinner rapper that he is "one of the greatest rappers to ever touch a mic," it looked like the Off-Season was about to turn into open season for all stages and microphones Cole came across

Unfortunately, after just two shows, Cole was forced to postpone two tour dates, the first in Philadelphia and the second in Detroit, due to production delays.

Explaining that he was backstage at his Greensboro, NC show, waiting to go on stage after an hours-long delay, Cole said the theatrics involved with the Off-Season tour including intricate lighting and a full basketball court were taking much longer to transport and set up than was initially expected. Wearing his new signature look, sweatpants and Crocs, Cole continued on to say that it was a nine hour drive from Greensboro to Philly and that there would not be enough time to break down all of the equipment, transport it over the road to Pennsylvania and set it all up again for a show the next night.

Moving the Philadelphia show to October 27 and the Detroit show to October 25, the Fayetteville rapper spent most of his time on camera apologizing for the delay and agonizing over those fans who had already made arrangements to see him perform this week.

"I apologize for the inconvenience. I know people done hired babysitters, some people drive in from out of town, I hate this sh*t," Cole said about his Philly and Detroit-based supporters. "Even the fact that people waiting outside right now in Greensboro ... that sh*t is A.) embarrassing and B.) I think about people's time. This is the first time this ever happened to us. So I apologize for this sh*t."

It was clear Cole felt horribly about having to move shows but ensured that he wanted fans to see the show they paid for and the best way to achieve that was to move tour dates.

What do you think of Cole moving a couple stops on the Off-Season tour? Let us know in the comments.
