Cardi B Beasts Through DJ Khaled's "Big Paper"

It was the last-minute addition that the world witnessed occur in real-time, and Cardi B is thrilled that she was able to make it onto Khaled Khaled. Megaproducer DJ Khaled announced the release of his album earlier this week and almost immediately returned to social media with a stacked tracklist. As fans were trying to figure out how Khaled managed to get Jay-Z and Nas on the same record, he returned with an updated tracklist that included Cardi's "Big Paper."

Cardi joined Drake and Justin Timberlake as the only artists to have songs where they don't share the spotlight, and following Khaled Khaled's release, Cardi explained how the song came to be. "I didn't think I was gonna make the record," Cardi shared with fans while Live on social media. She only had a 48-hour window to finish the track and she made sure to let the wrld know that she wrote the song.

There is a new Hollywood romance that has bloomed and it's taken some people by surprise. Torrei Hart has emerged from the shadows of just being "Kevin Hart's ex-wife" and the mother of his two eldest children and has built her own brand. It looks as if Celina Powell is launching herself into the weekend with drama. She's built her brand off of airing out her alleged escapades with rappers and entertainers, and although she's been caught fibbing, the public continues to eat up her groupie tales. In the past, Powell has claimed that she's carried on an affair with Snoop Dogg and even said she was once pregnant by Offset, but this time, she targeted Moneybagg Yo.

On TikTok, there's a trend going around where a person says something shady about their friend before passing the phone to that person. In Celina's case, she was with Chief Keef baby mama, Slim Danger, and they went back and forth about the men in the industry that they say they've been with. "I'm passing the phone to somebody still f*ckin' Moneybagg Yo," said Slim, before she turned things over to Powell, suggesting that Celina was having sex with the rapper.

Soon, the clip went viral and people began discussing the Moneybagg potentially cheating on his longtime girlfriend Ari Fletcher. He didn't want his name involved in any "entanglement," so he addressed the rumors in a tweet that he quickly deleted. "Fake news spread 10x faster then real news," said Moneybagg. DJ Khaled Explains Kanye West Wearing Wedding Ring In IG Post

It's been 24 hours since DJ Khaled released his star-studded Khaled Khaled project and fans have been debating the album throughout the day. Khaled Khaled hosts features from Jay-Z, Nas, H.E.R., Justin Timberlake, Justin Bieber, 21 Savage, and a bevy of others, and prior to its release, the megaproducer shared behind-the-scenes images of himself with a few famous friends, including Kanye West.

In a video posted to his Instagram, an enthusiastic Khaled is seen previewing music for Kanye in his studio. Ye has his hands raised to the sky in a black and white picture that showed he was still wearing his wedding ring amid his divorce from Kim Kardashian. During his chat with Entertainment Tonight, DJ Khaled attempted, in his own way, to explain what that was all about.

"First of all, God bless him and his family, remember this was a while ago, and when I say a while ago, like, when I was first starting to create my album," Khaled told the outlet. "And I was just playing him song ideas I had so this was long, not too long ago, this was like way before, you know, all that and I want to send my love to him and his family and his kids, you know what I mean? God bless him and his whole family, you know?"

Aside from dodging questions about his friend's relationship status, Khaled revealed how that Kanye listening session came about. "One of my team members knocked on the door, 'Yo, Khaled, Mr. West is in your backyard,' so I go to my backyard and he's eating scrambled eggs with ketchup because he asked my chef to make them and some vegan bacon," said Khaled.

"And we was just kicking it, catching a vibe, and catching up and he gave me a surprise visit. We ended up going into my studio of my house and we just ended up playing each other music," he continued. "And there was just a vibe, you know what I'm saying? Lisa Leslie Weighs Not Suing WNBA After 2008 Sparks-Shock Court Brawl

She one of the most celebrated women in sports and is a WNBA icon, but Lisa Leslie is highlighting her controversial moments in the league that some sports fans may have forgotten about. Leslie currently holds the position as head coach for the Big 3 team the Triplets, but prior to that position, she was tearing up the court for the Los Angeles Sparks. Leslie's professional career lasted for 12 years until 2009 and her accolades include Finals MVP awards and championship titles. 

Yet, in 2008, during a game between the Sparks and the Detroit Shock, an argument broke out between players, and Rick Mahorn, assistant coach to the Shock, stepped in to calm the fray. During the brawl, Leslie made her way to the court, as many other players did, to save her teammate, and during the chaos, Leslie was knocked to the floor. The story of what happened will differ depending on who you ask.

It was widely reported that Mahorn, a former NBA player for the Detroit Pistons, attempted to restrain Leslie, resulting in her falling to the ground. However, during her appearance on Uncensored, the sports icon alleges that she was pushed by Mahorn.

“All I remember seeing is us running down court and Candace, when I looked over, she was in a tussle with one of the Detroit players and she was on the bottom," Leslie recalled. "That's what I saw. That's my teammate. And I was on my way to get whomever off of her to get her off the floor. Somehow in the moment of running one way and then in the direction of me turning around, I never saw the coach, Rick Mahorn, who is what, [six-foot-six, six-foot-seven]?"

"He pushed me while I was on my way back to looking, you know, focus at Candace on the ground and Detroit player on top. I was running over there like, to get her, and he pushed me. Literally pushed me so hard that I was off both my feet and I landed somewhere back from where I was starting from the run."

Kandi Burruss Details Why She "Fell Out" With Boyz II Men In The Studio

We'd bet that you weren't expecting to hear about members of Xscape and Boyz II Men beefing online in 2021, yet, here we are. The 1990s was a thriving era for R&B music, especially groups. Dozens of trios, quartets, and quintets found fame as they harmonized up the charts, and we hail many of them to be icons or legends in the music industry.

Two notable figures are singers Kandi Burruss from Xscape and Wanya Morris from Boyz II Men. We'd like to think that those times were filled with love and collaboration, but Kandi revealed that it wasn't all sunshine. "I had a bad experience with Boyz II Men," Kandi said. "It was bad.... It wasn't about the singing." One of the hosts asked if the disagreement had to do with "attitudes" and Kandi nodded her head to confirm. "We fell out after that," she added.

"I don't think I've ever been disrespected like that before in the studio in my life," she recalled with a laugh. "It was crazy. Really. But at the end of the day, that was a long time ago. Clearly, we moved past that, but it was kinda weird for me because some of us were cool. I didn't know everybody in the group but I knew a few of them. We had hung out."

Boyz II Men singer Wanya Morris surfaced with an explanation. He said they were writing the song "Good Guys" in a specific way taught to Boyz II Men by legendary producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. "We finished the song, right? And once we finished the song, she started talking about splits. The song wasn't actually finished, but she started talking about splits."

He said Boyz II Men countered that they hadn't even finished the song so a conversation about production or royalty splits at that stage was pointless. Morris claims that Burruss said since she "came up with the hook" a discussion needed to be had. "Literally, we've been in the game long enough to say, hold on a second," added Morris. "That's not it works. That's how it became, we understand that's how it became, but we don't ride in that lane."

"We made a little bit of a stink," Morris admitted. "It wasn't anything really crazy... From that point, it became a little bit harder to work with her." Elsewhere he threw a bit of shade when he said, "She hasn't really worked since, right? Like, music wise?" before listing off people that sing better than the Xscape star.

Grammys Remove Secret Voting Committees Following The Weeknd Backlash: Report

After The Weeknd publicly stated that he would never again submit his music to or attend the Grammys, The Recording Academy was swift to respond. It came as a shock to music fans that The Weeknd's chart-topping After Hours album didn't receive one bit of recognition at the last award ceremony. After Hours debuted at No. 1 and spent a year on the charts, but The Recording Academy's voters didn't think it was worthy of even one nomination.

Later, Iggy Azalea took to Twitter with allegations that the Grammys are "rigged as f*ck," and Bebe Rexha suggested it was about payoffs. Following the backlash, it has been announced that The Recording Academy has made significant changes to its voting process, including eliminating secret committees that determine the ceremony's most coveted categories including Best Album and Best New Artist.

Variety describes the changes as: "Elimination of Nominations Review Committees In General and Genre Fields" and "Reduction In Number of Categories Voter May Vote," as well as two new categories being added (Best Global Music Performance—Global Music Field and Best Música Urbana Album—Latin Music Field). There will also be adjustments made to the less controversial craft categories that involve production and presentation.

“It’s been a year of unprecedented, transformational change for the Recording Academy, and I’m immensely proud to be able to continue our journey of growth with these latest updates to our Awards process,” said Harvey Mason Jr., Interim CEO of the Recording Academy. “This is a new Academy, one that is driven to action and that has doubled down on the commitment to meeting the needs of the music community."

"While change and progress are key drivers of our actions, one thing will always remain — the Grammy Award is the only peer-driven and peer-voted recognition in music," he continued. "We are honored to work alongside the music community year-round to further refine and protect the integrity of the Awards process.”

The next Grammy ceremony is slated for January 31, 2022.

Diplo Sues Woman For Revenge Porn, Stalking, & Trespassing: Report

The legal troubles are heating up for Diplo after he was accused of distributing revenge porn of a woman he was allegedly involved with. In November 2020, a woman filed a restraining order against the mega DJ, alleging that Diplo hired a private investigator to track her moves. Diplo has since denied the allegations, and it looks as if he's taking her to court.

According to TMZ, Diplo has accused his "ex-fling," Shelly Auguste, of not being able to take "no" for an answer. In court documents, he described Auguste as an "unstable fan who manipulated herself into" his life. Their interactions reportedly occurred years ago, but Diplo claimed that she hasn't ceased harassing him.

They reportedly began a consensual relationship sometime in 2019 and by 2020, the brief romance had come to a full stop. Diplo said Auguste went on to create fake accounts on social media and even sent "sexually suggestive messages" to his relatives. When their budding relationship ended, Auguste is accused of sending the DJ dozens of messages and voice recordings, some involving Diplo, and would show up to his home unannounced. He claims he feared for his safety and eventually sold his home.

Additionally, Diplo says that Auguste sent racist messages to the mother of one of his children, calling her an "ugly dark skin b*tch" and saying, "Go kill yourself I know I see right through you you're not gorgeous." Auguste denied sending any such messages and claimed that Diplo's recent accusations only surfaced because she sought legal counsel first.

The DJ's attorney, Bryan Freedman, told TMZ, "As this Complaint makes clear, my client and his family have been harassed, stalked and abused by Ms. Auguste for far too long -- and it’s time for the courts to step in and put an end to her appalling and dangerous behavior." Diplo has sued Auguste for "stalking, trespassing," and revenge porn. 

Auguste says she and Diplo have been talking since 2014 and their "fling" wasn't brief, at all. "The truth will prevail," she added.

These last couple of years have been huge for the Nike Dunk Low as the silhouette has seen a huge resurgence. Sneakerheads are starting to appreciate this sneaker again and it is easy to see why. It's one of those models that will always stand the test of time and it also lends itself towards some incredible colorways. Both men and women have been receiving some new offerings as of late, and now, Nike has just unveiled the perfect women's summer colorway.

This new model seen below is called "Sunset Pulse" and it truly brings out the "What The" vibes. The shoe is filled with pastel shades spanning from lavender to green to blue and to pink. There are also some more vibrant colors although those are reserved for the overlays that feature pops of color. Overall, these elements merge together to create a truly dope shoe that is going to liven up a lot of outfits this summer.

Lil Durk Hops On The Remix Of Kuttem Reese's "No Statements"

DJ Envy Responds To Ma'Khia Bryant Backlash: "It Doesn't Hurt Me"

He has doubled down on his stance regarding the police-involved shooting death of 16-year-old Ma'Khia Bryant, and now DJ Envy has a few words for Cancel Culture. The Breakfast Club became a focal point in discussions regarding the case after host DJ Envy expressed that he believed the shooting was justified. Envy once again reminded the world that his father is a retired police officer and judging from Columbus, Ohio police officer Nicholas Reardon's body camera footage, Envy sided with Reardon's decision to shoot.

Dr. Umar Johnson visited The Breakfast Club earlier this week and passionately criticized those involved in the death of Ma'Khia, but Envy was unmoved in his position. He faced backlash across several social media platforms, but Envy addressed the controversy when he caught up with Page Six.

"The whole situation is tragic and it’s sad because that system failed that young lady. The fact that she’s out there fighting at sixteen with a grown woman," said Envy. “Everybody’s saying [the police] shoot first, but he possibly saved that [other girl’s] life," he continued, restating his previous argument. "If she would’ve stabbed her, who knows if she would’ve lived. LaMelo Ball Receives Massive Injury Update

LaMelo Ball had an incredible first half of the season and it was quite clear back in March that he would be the favorite to win rookie of the year. Unfortunately, he hit a massive setback as he fractured his wrist during a freak play that saw him land on his hand. At first, it was feared that LaMelo would end up missing the entire rest of the regular season. However, over the past few weeks, it has become increasingly clear that Ball is in a better position to return than some may have originally thought.

According to the Charlotte Hornets PR Twitter account, Melo has officially been listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Detroit Pistons. This mostly means he will be a game-time decision, although this also means he will certainly be coming back sometime this season, barring a major setback.

This is huge for the Hornets who are in a battle for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. They could use all the help they can get and LaMelo would prove to be a player who would make all of the difference down the stretch.

Blueface Late To His Son's Birthday Because He Was On Twitch With Adin Ross & DDG

As of late, Blueface can't seem to catch a break. After getting ripped by Chika for his highly criticized rapping skills, the "Thotiana" rapper has also recently been accused of overseeing a cult by social media users. A vid went viral that showed him having several women sleep in bunk beds and get tattoos, but the L.A. rapper quickly assured fans that it was just a behind-the-scenes look at his sensational Blue Girls Club show.

Now, Blueface is in the hot seat once again following a video that shows him blowing off his son's birthday party while he live-streams on Twitch with Adin Ross and DDG. While streaming, Blueface gets a call from someone, presumably his baby mother, and proceeds to get cursed out by the person on the other end for being late to his son's birthday. 

After Blueface gets off the phone, you can see that Adin Ross is visibly shook and upset that Blueface has to go, but the LA rapper stays for a bit longer and continues to joke with both Adin and DDG. The video then cuts off before viewers see Blueface leave the stream to head over to his son's birthday party, but in the end, it does appear that Blueface eventually showed up at his son's birthday party.

Similar to his costumed theatrics last year in which he dressed up as Spider-Man, new video footage shows the "BGC" rapper dressed up as a blue Power Ranger and showing off his impressive acrobatic skills.

Yelawolf Drops New Studio Album "Mud Mouth"

For the past few years, Yelawolf has been hard at work creating new music, a process that has culminated in an impressive four-album streak. Having delivered projects every week in April, the final drop -- the long-awaited Mud Mouth -- may very well hold the most significance for some, being that it's his latest studio album. Featuring a respectable fourteen tracks and production across the board by Jim Jonsin, Mud Mouth finds Yela returning to his more melodic sound, as previously explored on drops like Ghetto Cowboy and the acclaimed Love Story.

That's not to say the bars aren't present, as Yela has been in fine form in that regard. Yet where previous releases like the DJ Muggs' produced Mile Zero found Yela operating exclusively as an emcee, Mud Mouth is more centered around the duality of his artistry. Songs often navigate between sections, luring listeners into a false sense of security before pulling the lever to the trapdoor. As per usual, Yela's unique swagger and penchant for all things Slumerican pack his music with distinctive imagery; what other rapper could conceivably put together a track called "Hillbilly Einstein?"

There's plenty to unpack on Mud Mouth, and fans would be wise to throw this one on and immerse themselves from start to finish. It's clear that Yela designed this one as a linear listening experience, and as an artist who still values the album as an art form, such an approach should be celebrated. Ghislaine Maxwell Has A Black Eye In First Photo From Jail

Ghislaine Maxwell is currently facing federal sex trafficking charges for her alleged role in helping Jeffrey Epstein recruit young girls around the world to sexually abuse. Last year, Maxwell pled not guilty to charges of sex trafficking and during her case, it was revealed that she allegedly admitted that Epstein had secret tapes of Donald Trump and Bill Clinton laying around. As more and more charges keep being added to her case, the first photo of Maxwell from behind bars has surfaced online, showing the disgraced British socialite with a black eye.

The first picture of Maxwell shows the 59-year-old woman with a bruise under her eye and a wrinkled face. It was included in a letter filed by her attorney Bobbi Sternheim, claiming that the injury has caused a rift between Maxwell and the jails at her jailhouse in Brooklyn. "Last night, she was confronted by MDC staff due a visible bruise over her left eye," wrote her attorney.

Maxwell reportedly was experiencing eye pain but, because she doesn't have a mirror, she did not see her black eye. Apparently, none of the guards addressed it and left Maxwell to find the injury by noticing it in the glimmer of a nail clipper. Guards then reportedly pressed Maxwell to reveal how she got the bruise, threatening to throw her in solitary if she didn't cooperate. Generally, inmates will be transferred to the Special Housing Unit (SHU) if they get injured in GP. Maxwell's attorney believes that she got the mark on her face because she's forced to sleep with a sock over her eyes as a guard shines a light in her cell every fifteen minutes.

"Last night, she was confronted by MDC staff due to a visible bruise over her left eye," said her attorney. "She may have been in that stage of half sleep while being tortured with shining lights. Please keep in mind that it’s been 10 months of bad sleep, inedible food, and undrinkable water in solitary confinement. For absolutely no reason. How would you look?"

Arguably the biggest album to drop this week, Khaled's latest full-length is a 14-track effort that boasts guest appearances from some of the music industry's most popular artists, including Drake, Cardi B, Roddy Ricch, Rick Ross, Lil Durk, 21 Savage, Justin Timberlake, and even the ever-elusive Beyoncé.

Perhaps one of the most mind-blowing matchups on Khaled Khaled, however, is "Sorry Not Sorry," a slow-burning track that samples Jay-Z's classic song "Song Cry." In addition to sampling Hov, Khaled's jam-packed track taps the legendary emcee for a guest feature as well, along with his longtime rival Nas, James Fauntleroy, and Harmonies by the Hive.

While much of the fervor prior to the release of "Sorry Not Sorry" and Khaled Khaled, in general, had to deal with discovering whether Harmonies by the Hive was actually Beyoncé, several fans have switched their focus to Nas and Jay-Z's impeccable performance on the track, especially pertaining Hov's slick "triple B" bar at the start of his first.

DJ Khaled Taps Lil Baby & Lil Durk For "Every Chance I Get"

After months of anticipation, DJ Khaled's new album Khaled Khaled has officially arrived in full. And while early responses are still pouring in, it's clear that many are, at the very least, intrigued by the sheer volume of star power aligning the tracklist. As many heavy hitters stepped up to deliver brief contributions to lavish, celebratory anthems, it feels appropriate to signal one of the project's rare glimpses into the streets. Unsurprisingly, those contributions are handled by Lil Baby, Lil Durk, and Tay Keith, who unite for "Every Chance I Get."

Though it should no longer be expected to see a rapper bringing their A-game to a DJ Khaled project (the days of "We Takin Over" are, alas, over), Lil Baby and Durk bring the passion that has come to be associated with their brand. "Seen a robber rob a deacon, I seen a preacher get caught for cheatin'," spits Baby, ever the observer. "I'll break the bank for one of my people." Lil Durk closes it out with a brief verse, though that's not to say his presence isn't felt. "Yeah, she think I'm a regular rapper, I'm not," he warns. 50 Cent Bashes Irv Gotti For Saying DMX Died Of A Crack & Fentanyl Overdose

50 Cent is on the attack this week. While the established television producer has been hard at work shooting his upcoming series BMF, he's seemingly found time to bash some of his long-documented rivals. On Thursday, Fif commented on Ja Rule's alleged $3 million lawsuit from the IRS, claiming that he hasn't paid his full taxes in the last twelve years. Now, he's taking aim at one of Ja's associates, bashing Irv Gotti for claiming that DMX died of a crack and fentanyl overdose.

The co-founder of Murder Inc. made the claims last week, hopping onto a radio show and saying, "He had COVID. They said it was a bad dose of crack and they said some drug, fentanyl, was mixed in with the crack and that's what made him overdose. And then he got to the hospital, he got diagnosed with COVID and he couldn't breathe. You know that COVID f*cks with your respiratory system."

50 Cent just caught wind of Irv Gotti's comments, posting a video of his radio show appearance on Instagram and adding his commentary in the caption. "This guy is a idiot," he said about Irv. "Did he just say DMX died from smoking crack and fentanyl! Why would he say that?"

DMX reportedly suffered a heart attack on April 2, which possibly stemmed from a drug overdose. He was rushed to the hospital where it was reported that he was in a "vegetative state" after blood flow was restricted to his brain. DMX's family has not confirmed that his death was caused by "bad crack" or fentanyl, as Irv Gotti has said.

"MIAMI THIS SATURDAY," wrote the controversial rapper on Instagram, posting a video of him speeding off in an extravagantly colored Lamborghini. "MARINE STADIUM YOU LOOKING FOR ME IM THERE."

6ix9ine will be performing as part of Trillerfest, which will also boast performances from Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Tyga, and more. In his video, 6ix9ine specifically antagonized all of the rappers he's gone up against in the last few years, saying, "Ain't no more f*cking excuses... You looking for me? Rapper 40 Cal Asks For Help In Finding His Missing 19-year-old Daughter

The Rap community is being asked to come together to find a missing young woman. Harlem rapper 40 Cal is known for his battle skills and calls The Diplomats family, but he reached out to the general public for help in finding his 19-year-old daughter, Saniyya Dennis. A missing person's poster shows that Saniyya disappeared from Buffalo where she's a college student at SUNY Buffalo State College and was reported missing on April 24.

The report also states that she may be in need of medical attention, but it doesn't specify what issues or ailments she may have.

"My daughter Saniyya is missing out of Buffalo State College .... anyone with any helpful info hit my dm , any other matters respectfully don’t contact me!, $10,000 for any info that connect," he wrote in a caption to a photo of Saniyya on Instagram. He reiterated his plea on his Twitter account. "My daughter missing from Buffalo University, if any info on this matter please hit my Dm."

Soon, people began reposting and resharing the messages in hopes of finding Saniyya sooner than later. On his Instagram Story, 40 Cal reposted messages from people spreading the word about his daughter, and as of an hour ago, she still hasn't been found. Check out the posts below.

Rico Nasty Follows T-Pain's Lead & Shows Off Her Undiscovered DMs

T-Pain's recent snafu on Instagram has caused Rico Nasty to check on her unread messages. Yesterday (April 28), T-Pain shared a video of himself standing in front of a screen recording of his DM request folder. There were dozens, hundreds of celebrities, influencers, and companies who had reached out to the award-winning artist for one reason or another, and T-Pain claimed he never knew the requests existed. 

He called himself "stupid" and issued a follow-up video to insist he wasn't lying, and Rico Nasty has surfaced to co-sign his sentiments because she claims she followed in his footsteps and came across undiscovered messages of her own.

Hillsong Pastor Resigns After "Accidentally" Sending Explicit Photos To Woman: Report

In recent months, the Hillsong empire seems to be crumbling in front of a global audience. Their uber-famous worship group has earned the religious corporation a Grammy and with dozens of Hillsong megachurches planted worldwide, it's one of the largest religious organizations in the world. Its influence is felt near and far, especially in Hollywood, as many of the church's pastors have become friends with celebrities like Justin and Hailey Bieber as well as the Kardashian-Jenners.

However, there have been controversies that have plagued the celebrity-centered church. Most recently, Carl Lentz, former pastor of Hillsong's New York branch, exited his position following a scandal that revealed he'd cheated on his wife and carried on an affair. Dallas branch pastors Reed and Jess Bogard were suspended and later resigned following an investigation into their alleged "excessive spending." The Dallas church eventually closed its doors. 

Most recently, Darnell Barrett, pastor to Hillsong's Montclair, New Jersey branch, resigned after a woman, reportedly a church volunteer, revealed that he sent her explicit photos via Instagram. According to reports, for two days in a row, Barrett sent DMs to the woman of himself shirtless in tight boxer briefs. He wrote to her saying that he accidentally sent her the pictures that were meant to be for his "close friends list," calling it an "honest mistake." Barrett also posted the photos to his Instagram Story as a workout motivation and they are said to show an imprint of his genitals.

Initially, the woman brushed it off with a joke and blocked him, but she decided to send him a lengthy message about manipulating women and being disrespectful. "I'm sorry?" is all he stated before she permanently blocked him. After the photo scandal went viral, Barrett announced his resignation.

"I was not at all trying to lure her. I get that she, within the context of what's happening with Hillsong, that she would draw those conclusions," Barrett told the Daily Mail. "This was something that was just an honest mistake and I informed my wife as soon as it happened."

Drake To Executive Produce "Spiral" Thriller Starring Selena Gomez: Report

He's the executive producer of Top Boy and acts as a producer for Euphoria, and Drake is expanding his cinematic collection with another addition to his resumé. The applauded rapper has been dominating in every field he enters, and with the music industry impatiently waiting on the arrival of Certified Lover Boy, it's being announced that Drizzy has made moves that earned him another producer credit.

Deadline exclusively reports that Drake has partnered with one of his managers and co-executive producer of Euphoria, Adel Nur, also known as Future the Prince, to act as executive producer of Spiral, a film starring Selena Gomez.

The psychological thriller will be directed by Petra Collins, a Canadian artist and fashion designer. Forest Hill Entertainment's Matthew Budman and Sumaiya Kaveh are reportedly producing the project. Selena Gomez is no stranger to acting and stars in Hulu's Only Murders in the Building.Deadline describes Spiral's synopsis as:

"The story follows a former influencer whose addiction to social media is causing her body to literally fall apart. Phoebe Fisher penned the most recent version with Collins and Melissa Broder penning a previous draft. Given the star power attached, this package should gain a ton of attention as it makes it way around town."

Meanwhile, Drake was recently spotted hanging out at the Oscars afterparty and some believe that he's reaching for that Academy Award win one day.

John Legend Believes Women Encounter More Negativity Online Than Men

Following her dramatic exit from Twitter last month, Chrissy Teigen returned to the microblogging platform. The author and wife to John Legend had been a staple on the app after battling it out with trolls, far-right conservatives, and for a while, former President Donald Trump. "I truly consider so many of you my actual friends. But it's time for me to say goodbye," she said at the end of March. "This no longer serves me as positively as it serves me negatively, and I think that's the right time to call something." 

It only took a few weeks before Teigen made her triumphant return and now, Legend is speaking about what his wife has endured online. During a virtual interview with the Tamron Hall Show, Legend said he believes that women face harsher criticisms online than their male counterparts.

"For social media, the downside is you get lots of feedback, a lot of good feedback, a lot of bad feedback, too," said Legend. "People feel somewhat of a cloak of anonymity that they'll say things to you on Twitter, or other social media, that they wouldn't say to you in person. And they feel empowered to be more cruel sometimes."

 

Legend also said that in the end, his wife wanted to return to Twitter because she believed she had positive, beneficial moments with the public that outweighed the criticisms. "Chrissy honestly missed it. She missed the engagement. She missed sharing her thoughts with people," he added. "Despite some of the negativity that we all encounter, and I think women encounter more than men, truthfully, on social media, but despite all of that, she felt like the benefits and the positive interaction she has outweighed the negative."

Trevor Lawrence Drafted First Overall By The Jaguars

After winning their first game of the season in 2020, the Jacksonville Jaguars went on a massive 15-game losing streak that ended up winning them the first-overall pick in the NFL Draft. As soon as they got the pick, most fans figured they would be taking Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who has been a phenomenal talent who has yet to lose a regular-season game at either the high school or college level. On Thursday night, the Jacksonville Jaguars got their chance to draft Lawrence, and that's exactly what they did.

Despite having months to make their decision, the Jaguars took a large chunk of their clock time, much to the chagrin of the viewers at home. Regardless, the pick was finally made and now, Lawrence will be the team's franchise quarterback.

This is a huge moment for the Jacksonville Jaguars franchise. While they did make the AFC Championship game a few years ago, the team has mostly be known for mediocrity and Lawrence has a real opportunity to change that. Some feel as though he is a generational talent and if he turns things around, the Jaguars will be huge winners.

Pharrell Slams Label Advances: "No One Should Own You"

Over the last two days, United Masters has hosted SelectCon over on Twitch. Steve Stoute's distribution company has helped artists reach new audiences, and today (April 29), Stoute sat down with Pharrell Williams to discuss various aspects of the industry. Throughout music history, there have been artists who have grown disenchanted with their record labels over money or contracts and even recently, well-known rappers have shared how they haven't received a penny from their labels.

One issue that many newly signed artists face is paying back their labels' advances that they received when they first inked their deals. Some of these artists haven't seen that many zeroes on a paycheck and don't understand that the cash isn't a gift and needs to be paid back. Stoute asked Pharrell what he thought of these dealings.

"You shouldn't walk into a company and say, 'I'm gonna make this record.' They give you an advance then for the tenure of that, the entire time you're album's out, you're working to pay back that advance," said Pharrell in a clip of their conversation. Stoute interrupted and added, "It's illegal." Pharrell continued, "No bank gives a company a loan to start a company and walks away with the trademarks."
